I'm not sure if this has already been posted but...

Aaron Rodgers still not cleared for Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers fans hoping Aaron Rodgers will return from a fractured collarbone for this week's game against the Dallas Cowboys received disheartening news Monday.

Coach Mike McCarthy revealed that Rodgers still is not cleared for game action. The plan is to work him out Tuesday and evaluate him Wednesday morning.

At this point, McCarthy is planning for Matt Flynn to start again because Rodgers still has "hurdles to get over."

That plan will be adjusted if Rodgers finally gains clearance from the team doctor Wednesday.

Rodgers isn't the only key player up in the air for Week 15. McCarthy said Eddie Lacy sustained a sprained ankle in Sunday's win. It's "too early to tell" if the rookie running back will be available for the Cowboys game.

I have been told by cowboyszone it was a certainty Rodgers would play against Dallas.

I am in a state of utmost shock that Green Bay is unwilling to risk a serious injury to their franchise quarterback.

If a Mod wants to change the title, I won't be against it. I probably should have worded it a tad differently.

Still it isn't looking very promising for Rodgers. On the NFL.com front page they say "Green Bay plans to start Flynn".

I also heard Eddie Lacy is a no go at this point. We might finally be getting a little luck.

I read that too...in the original article. just messing with you

Man, that should be an easy home win if neither play. I don't know how great Rodgers would even be after that long of a layoff anyway.

lol was it the same article? I actually didn't read the article the OP posted because I had read about Rodgers elsewhere. Apparently we had the same source.

Now I see it. It's even in the body of the post. lol

Well there are no easy wins in the NFL, but this would definitely make it easier.

We need wins desperately by any means necessary.

We should win that game either way. Just a matter of by how much. Lacy is more important IMO

The fact that the doctor did not clear him today speaks volumes, I don't think the bone will heal by wednesday.

if I recall what was said last week, they have a set parameter as regards how much calcification there has to be around the area of the break before they will clear Rodgers. If it was not enough last week it is really doubtful there is enough now. Especially if they have checked him since and have not cleared him.

I've been saying that it was in no way certain he would play. He has to be cleared by doctors before he can play and I doubt he's healed enough to be able to do more than practice.

We'll see. I won't be surprised either way.

Am I the only one that thinks GB has been playing mind games just trying to make their opponents gameplan for the chance Rodgers plays?
