Think there is a good chance both Green (OL- Texas A&M and Dean (LB- Georgia) are there at 24. Both big needs. Who do you take and why? (You can’t trade up or down)

Both can be impact players. All would depend on FA.
I think if you are fairly conservative, you take Green. He is 6'4" 325lbs and athletic. He moves people when they don't want to be moved. He has the smarts and athleticism to be like Martin and be there for 10 years.
Dean on the other hand has a higher upside in my opinion, but also more likely to bust.

I have watched Texas A&M for many years now and Green is a plug in starter who can sub up and down the line as needed. If Dallas picks him AWESOME.

With that said, I think I would pick Dean. Dean can lift the level of the D play by quite a bit. Parson, Cox, Dean allow you to be dynamic on D and let's Parsons move as needed to create a nasty matchup nightmare.

Steele was a UDFA -- and many want him to start. LCollins played LG very well a while back. Alarcon is a huge guy who might very well come around. McGovern, Biadasz, Farinok all are young and might be able to handle starting with a correct offseason. Draft picks from 4th down can be picked for OL.
IMO -- the easiest way to make Dallas very good is get a legit 1T, MLB, and TE in the first three rounds (order dependent on who falls) if they don't lose too much talent to FA. Then stock up on OL to develop.

1) NDean - LB Georgia
2) TJones - DL UConn
3) JRuckert - TE Ohio State

Then OC, OG, OT for the next rounds with (a S or second legit TE) would be very good.

Quality offensive linemen are deeper in quantity.

Take Dean and see what OL is there in the second round.

I don't know. I think you have some good LBs in this draft as well.

I would not mind Dean or Green in the first. I think both can step in and play and help the team.

I would prefer Dean and signing a guy like Will Hernandez.

Been watching the 1st rounded graded players, and I'm starting to think Green is my guy. I think he's got the best floor-ceiling combo of the field..

The floor is average LG, he's just too big and strong to be anything less. The ceiling though... I read a stat where he played 130'ish pass blocking snaps at LT for Texas A&M, and only allowed 1 hit. If he played LT for a full SEC season pass blocking that level, we're talking about him as a top 10 pick right now. Because of his weird fire-drill season and because of devalued interior OL play, we could get that same talent later than we probably should.

I just don't get as excited about Nakobe Dean as I should. He's a baller and offers a super easy comparison to Roquan Smith, who's grown into an impact player over his career. But undersized safety-backers are easy to find... you can get a guy like Jayrone Kearse without the big investment. And if you switch out say LVE with Roquan, I don't think that changes any of our losses this season.

Back to back LB 1st round picks.
I think I would, but not sure Dallas will, no matter the need.

I'm good with either, but defense could turn into a true strength of this team and Dean and legit DT like OP says would go A LONG ways.

Dean has a chance to become a special player, but if this team doesn't fix their run game, they have zero chance for success. Adding a versatile lineman is what the doctor ordered.

Connor Williams, McGovern, Chaz Green?
It is more miss that hit the lower you go, but you can find solid linemen outside of the first two rounds.

Was Connor Williams issue the fact that they put the guy with great feet in a place that needed great strength? Or was it lack of coaching, lack of strength? I think he is going somewhere else and will probably end up as a very solid starter, although not a pro-bowl type one.

kenyon green,og-texas a&m.
love his size and his versatility.
also like the physicalness he plays with.
always stood out to me in the a&m games i've watched.
i think he fixes our oline...inside.

His knock is bad habits and penalties. Doh!
