"This Kid Sees It And Freakin' Goes:" Inside the Draft with Greg CosellWith the NFL draft quickly approaching, Greg Cosell breaks down the linebacker position and who Howie Roseman could be targeting on the latest "Inside The Draft With Greg Cosell" on Inside The Birds.

Cosell, along with Geoff Mosher and Adam Caplan, takes a deep dive into prospects such as Micah Parsons, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, Zaven Collins and the traits that come with each prospect. Plus, some of Cosell's favorite sleepers.

Micah Parsons, Penn State
Cosell: "It's interesting with Parsons because when he came out of high school, there were a lot of colleges that were recruiting him as a defensive end. That's what he played in high school, he was a defensive end. So he became a linebacker, he's over 6-foot-3, he's 246, he's one of those guys that's freakish because at 246 he's highly athletic. Now, he's got great movement traits. He's sudden, he's explosive, both downhill and laterally, he can line up in different positions.

Parsons is the best LB in this class. IMO the best defensive player in the draft. I think this team is zeroed in on CB.
How good is Parsons? Is he Patrick Willis good? Is he Sean Lee good? Is he Ray Lewis good? Who does he compare to?

I think he’s almost as good a prospect as Devin White and a better prospect than Devin Bush coming into the league.

The same mindset that gets burned in between the Tackles due to taking the wrong angles.

I hope Jerry doesn't draft Parsons.

Parsons IMO is much better than College Jaylon at wading through trash and getting off blocks. Parsons is also a lot more disciplined at filling his gap rather than playing hero ball. Both are excellent pass rushers for LB but IMO Parsons has a lot more nuance in his pass rush technique.

Parsons will be a great NFL LB and more impactful than Horn will be at CB

What is it that you dont like about Parsons? Please explain.

As far as Jaylon, he was a finesse linebacker coming out of college that had speed and was known for his coverage skills. The knock on him was that he routinely got caught up in the wash and blocked by Olineman in the run game. Couldnt come off blocks well. The injury has robbed him of his speed so he basically has nothing left.

Parsons is an absolute freak. People talk about Pitts, they should be talking about Parsons. The guy is 6-3, 246 pounds and runs a 4.36 40? That is unheard of. Parsons is a true stack MLB that can shed blocks and LIVES in the backfield. He plays angry and is tough. He was recruited out of highschool as a DE. He can rush the passer. He has bend when he rushes and RUNS OVER RB's trying to block him.

PERFECT TOUGH GUY to man the middle of the field, stop the run and then send on the blitz in passing downs.

We completely disagree on this one. Parsons is a monster and has EVERY instinct you want in a MLB. Lives in the backfield, great pass rusher at the position. Incredible instincts and shoots the gaps. Sideline to sideline 4.36 speed at 6-3, 246 pounds.

I know, I’ve watched plenty of his tape. He’ll probably be a great LB.

When I watched the 2020 Cotton Bowl I can’t remember a more dominant game by a college defender since OU Roy Williams. He was everywhere. That was his last college game too. I’m nervous about the opt out but the dude can ball.
