This is shocking. I felt certain Randy Moss would win this.

I thought Moss might but at the same time he didn't deserve it. You can't call a guy who half-assed his way through a stint in his career the comeback player because he is now playing well because he isn't slouching.

Well deserved and they got this one right.

AP Comeback Player of the Year Greg Ellis just released this statement through the Cowboys PR staff:

"This is an award that is given to an individual player, but this recognition only comes along when a lot of people help you come back. I am grateful to my family for their support. I want to recognize our entire medical team for all of their help, and specifically, (associate athletic trainer) Britt Brown who directed my rehab program. I also credit the late (team chaplain) John Weber for always reminding me of what can be accomplished through the power of faith."

Way to go Greg. You should have gone to the Pro Bowl. But at least we know someone is paying attention. I don't even go to that place 'where would we be without Greg Ellis'.

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

My first post in this thread is proof once again that sarcasm doesn't carry on the Internet without the <sarcasm> tags.

Good job Greg.

And no you don't get a contract extension next year again.

Obviously, sarcasm flies way over your head. I do not think Moss "deserved" to win it. I just expected the Media and NFL to give this award to someone that didn't deserve it.

In that case I sincerely apologize. Please don't mind me as I'm a bit of a drunk on gamedays. And days that end in a "y"...
