are there any reports on how the trio has been doing this camp? I havent been hearing a whole lot, but it could be me. Anyways what do you think their chances of making the team are? Because we need to start developing young OL

Word is that they all three have new areodynamic hair cuts that should increase their abilities on the field.

Surely, Isdaner and Bright have more to offer than Proctor.

You seem to underestimate the power of Proctor.

That or he has some pretty damaging photos of someone in the front office.

I think they both (not Douglas) have a real chance. We just haven't heard much about them because it's hard to evaluate OL in camp -- especially interior OL -- and the writers blogging about this kind of thing don't know what they're looking at.

Their credentials coming out of college were impressive. I'm hopeful that at least one of them will pan out.

I want Free Reign to be without a drummer.

That's what I was thinking too. It's very hard for people like TimmyMac to give us accurate information on how offensive linemen are doing in camp.

Still, we would have to think of Bright and Isdaner as a little bit of a long shot simply because they are UDFA offensive linemen. How many of those have we found? Some, that's for sure... but not many.

Isdaner was listed a possible mid-rounder by some of the scouts before the draft FWIW.

Travis Bright, BYU
Height: 6-5. Weight: 316.
Projected 40 Time: 5.30.
Combine 40 Time: 5.29.
Pro Day 40 Time: DNP.
Benchx225: 35. Arm: 33 7/8.
Projected Round (2009): 6-7.
1/8/09: Part of a solid offensive line, Travis Bright was named to the All-Mountain West Second Team.

11/2/08: Travis Bright isn't letting his age go to waste; he's one of the leaders on a BYU team that was considered a national title contender prior to its loss to TCU.

5/25/08: Travis Bright is way older than everyone in this class because he served on a church mission. He'll be able to play quickly, but his potential is limited

Greg Isdaner, West Virginia
Height: 6-4. Weight: 325.
Projected 40 Time: 5.16.
Combine 40 Time: 5.45.
Benchx225: 24. Arm: 32 1/2.
Projected Round (2009): 7-FA.
1/10/09: Greg Isdaner has declared early for the 2009 NFL Draft. He graduated already, so he thinks it's "now or never" for him.

7/28/08: Another two-year starter entering his junior campaign, Greg Isdaner was named to the All-Big East first team in 2007. He should be able to play right tackle as well at the next level.

Isdaner did get some reps with the second team when Holland was excused from camp for a day, which might mean he's at the top of the pecking order. But there hasn't been much to indicate that any of the rookie linemen are doing well ... with most reports saying Dallas is in trouble with its O-line depth.

You also have to consider that they are taking quite a few snaps against a 1st string defensive team that had the most sack's in the league last year. IE. How good will a rookie out of college fair against the likes of Demarcus Ware, Jay Ratliff, a new and improved slimmed down Spears, and a beast of a lineman Igor Olshansky. Like it has already been said, we really won't know what we have until we have them play against a different team
