Well here comes the QB most likely to land in Dallas for a visit.

Word on the street is his dad threatened to quit if we didn't bring him in

At the very least, he's a guy to groom for a backup spot. I could see him coaching if the NFL doesn't work out as a player.

Camp fodder, maybe a practice squader

And thats regardless of where he goes.

You have a VERY LARGE contingent of scouts and Pro people that disagree with you strongly.

I've watched him very closely for 2 years and will not be shocked if he makes an NFL team, but he has significant limitations.

Nolan Nawrocki nailed it when he said he had to have everything in place to be successful. Despite his obvious intelligence he does not process information quickly in the pocket and lacks the intuitive nature needed to be a good QB.

Also, his personality rubs some players the wrong way. He's smart and he knows it. He says things that leave you wondering if he gets it. He actually was quoted as saying a concussion he received in the Auburn game was frustrating because "I normally communicate on a higher level than most people".

He's a privileged kid who acts like he's privileged. Hate to say it but I hope he doesn't end up in Dallas.

I don't have any credentials except I'm a fan - a fan of Alabama. I've watched him several times and I've never been impressed regardless of the press.

Its not that large of a contingent.

I still doubt he even gets drafted and if he does, it will be late.

Highly doubtful that he did that. And if he did, he should be run off.

I was just kidding

He should do fine. His workout will pretty much be Garrett grading him on how well he holds a clipboard.

:laugh2:

In no shape or form do I want to waste and late round pick on this kid. Yes, it's cool he's from Southlake (and was a fantastic HS QB), but in the NFL he's a JAG. He doesn't have the arm strength, and Julio Jones the top recruit in the nation only had 15 td's in his career at Bama. What's up with that?

I just don't like him, scouts might, but I think McGee is better. I'm not a McGee fan either.

We can find our practice squad QB after the draft.
