Gregory is finally breaking out

He is coming into his own. He and Dlaw are quite a pair and T Crawford has changed my view off him. He is a swiss army knife, he can play

Crawford has always been a very solid good player. It's just we overpaid him at one point and at other times asked him to do too much and people saw that as him being complacent after the big money, but he's seriously been a stud for us this whole time, not amazing or all pro caliber but good. IMHO.

Glad he is, it's a feel good story if he can keep his focus in the offseason. It also help take the sting out of Taco being a bust

5 sacks in the last 7 games played. It should be 6 sacks since he was robbed of one today. Studgory!

Aaaand just in time for the playoffs. He hasn't had reps, conditioning or coaching for two years so what he is doing now is really what he would be doing in the early season if he had. He could really light things up in the playoffs.

EDIT - no, I didn't intend to make that pun. I just realized I wrote "light it up" after it posted.

He's been playing like this since the pre-season. Granted, he continues to get better the more he plays, but most people chose to focus on the slim chances of his sobriety and thus, the dependability of him on a weekly basis.

He's been very disruptive, and sometimes destructive, to various QB's and their comfortability. He just hasn't been noticed as much due to a lack of sacks. Personally, I think disrupting the pocket and forcing an error on the QB's part, is equally damaging... and on occasion, even more so.

Yes, he's had a few penalties, but only one that I would call a "bone-head" mistake - that being the careless roughing the punter. The others I chalk up to his aggressive play or a blatant/terrible call by the officials; such as the QB roughing on Wentz. I guess if you've been blocked and pushed to the ground, you have to stand back up before you can touch the QB. RIDICULOUS call, but that makes me feel less guilty about the offensive P. I. they called on Goedert

Agreed...he gave a ton of effort and he's getting closer and closer at the right time of the year.

Question though - weren't we also suppose to see David Irving and Sean Lee back for this game???
Yes,,,but,,,they were BOTH listed as being "out" for this game about 3 hours prior to kickoff when I'd checked:(

Well, that #94 punter foul-up Zebra award wasn't intentional,,,the DUDE was pretty much chopped at the knees in his punt block attempt, damn ner' 3 yards
(ormore )from that punter & the invariable calculus of "massxvelocity" sealed that deal,,,er,,, to his discredit, by the wayo_O

*I've re-watched that particular play six ways from Sunday:confused:*

He’s been steadily making plays each week to where he’s becoming a fixture off that edge, which is great for their line. Just needs to clean up his game a bit,and he should do fine.

I especially enjoyed the way he swatted Wince into the turf like a bug.. Despite the weak penalty they gave us for it...

Now, call me a homer, but I don't think I've ever seen a worse call in my entire life of watching football than that roughing the passer on Gregory. I'm sure there are others as bad over the years but none worse.
