Gregory Practicing?

They told us after the injury that he was fortunate to have only suffered a minor high ankle sprain and gave us the impression he would be back in a few weeks, as in maybe three and the reality is that it will be 5 or 6 weeks, the normal time for your typical high ankle.

HIgh ankle sprains can linger for entire seasons, sometimes because guys rush back too quickly. So if they need to hold him out a few more weeks to be sure he's totally fine, do it.

There is a difference in being hurt and being injured.

Randy is injured.

But this post shows you can't please everyone. Half the board is clamoring that we should go slow with Dez and hold out Lee as a precaution. You're clamoring for them to trot out a hurt and likely ineffective Gregory....just because.

Zone is going to zone.

I don't care if he plays or not, I said Parcells would've been all over a Rookie for missing this much time for a High Ankle Sprain. He did the same thing with Julius Jones his rookie year when he had a High Ankle Sprain. Parcells was known for putting pressure on guys to play through a injury. Jason Witten broke his Jaw his rookie year and missed a game a Parcells gave him baby food and told him how Marc Bavaro played with a broken jaw and it kinda forced Witten to get back out there. Don't put words in my mouth, just telling you how Parcells would've handled it.

I know....just making a comment about the typical disinformation of the front office. Is there any player that we have had that has noticeably beat the predicted recovery time? And for the record, I would suggest holding Gregory out till after the bye...would rather give him the time needed.

Garret said day to day, his normal answer earlier in the week. I seen something earlier today, they weren't as optimistic as of this morning. But much could have changed.

But with Hardy and McClain back, it wouldn't hurt keeping Gregory out for a few more weeks.as much as we all would like to see him back in there too, especially against the NE deflates.
But better off making sure he is 100% for the year.

I think they said 4 to 6 weeks initially.

I would wait on Gregory until after the bye, its just the smart thing to do. im sure he will be 100% by then, they did say it was "minor"

Yep. I'm betting that's what they'll do.
