Grizz: Practice #14

Thanks again for the excellent job, Grizz. I hope you got those VIP's! And, just so that everybody can be happy (never gonna happen), look into cloning experiments so there could be more of you to keep an eye on things. :wink3:

I guess Carpenter will spend more time at OLB now.

Rocky was running 3rd team SOLB behind Ellis and Al wasn't he? I doubt it affects Carp much. He may get a few 3rd team reps.

Isn't a compound fracture where the broken bone protrudes thru the skin? If so, might be more then 2 weeks. Hope he gets better and can make the squad, that is a serious injury...

hey grizz how is JJ looking. When I've been up there he has looked very fluid. But whats your take?
Don't worry about JJ is my take. He looks fine, he's quick and shifty as always. Here's the problem, he's always with the 1st offense which means he invariably faces the 1st defense, and they were killing the offensive line for the first week. Also, the runs in practice are usually cut short after 10 yards or so, meaning we don't get to see him in the open field that often.

But I do have to say MB3 has looked great in camp (except for a few fumbles) and I'm betting we are going to see both of them play regularly. I've never been a fan of tailback by committee, but these two guys might make me change my mind.

Rocky was running 3rd string mainly behind Ware and Burnett at WOLB, Junior Glymph has been backing up Ellis and Singleton at SOLB.

OK thanks. A 2 week thumb injury to the 3rd team/STs OLB doesn't get me too worried. He'll be OK.

BALKIS,

I understand what your saying. You are not crazy in saying that this is not the first time that the report fell off because he was doing something during the third teams reps which just so happens to be when Henson is on the field.

At the same time don't read anything into it. If youre going to take a few moments to try and do something its going to be when the third team is on the field. Grizz in his assesments has clearly been unbiased. When he gives his opinions he backs it up with facts.

Why isn't "Grizz" his user name? Already taken?
His username is Grizz but his reports are taken from his web site and copied to this forum by members who read the reports over there. If you will notice Grizz does come by with updates and addendums to his reports and to comment on some of the questions that we have here.

BTW if it were me there and the choice was to score some VIP's or watch the 3rd team so I can give a Henson report just so people won't jump to any conclusions...I'm going for the VIP's every time.

Grizz does an excellent job on his reports and I very much appreciate his effort.

Is it me or do I get the feeling this Grizz guy doesn't like Henson? From reading alot of his posts he nevers says to much about Henson, but is real quick to talk about romo. Then he alway's makes excuses when Henson is up for his drills. I swear this is like the third time he's said he didn't see henson's practice drills for whatever reason.
Wow, I've heard it all.

.....Parcell's doesn't like him..........they messed with his mechanics

For once I'd like to see a staunch Henson supporter atleast shift some of the blame on the Wolverine.

Maybe if Henson hit what he was throwing at more often, he'd run with the 2nd and maybe 1st team and we wouldn't have this discussion.

Couple this post with all the chest pounding over in another thread because Henson held off Jeff Mroz.............it's a shame.

I guess we got to celebrate every silver-lining.

p.s. Grizz Great job. We should be thankful. PERIOD!!!

Romo ran a draw with MB3, and then ran MB3 to the right. Romo threw a nice ball to Rector on an out and then hit Tolver on an out. He finished by overthrowing a ball deep. Henson came on but I confess I missed this drill because I was trying to score some VIP passes, which may or may not come through. (Sorry, everybody).

Well damn your worthless. :laugh2: Just kidding, I enjoy reading your post on training camp. Keep up the good work

Grizz, you've done us a great service. Not only have you kept us informed, but you've done a professional-quality job compiling and presenting all of the information.

Thanks!

maybe it's because Romo is taking more snaps than Henson.

It is the year of the Romo. He has a chance to show what he can do and I think it will determine his future with the ball club. This is all any player can ask for a real chance to prove yourself

Grizz is doing a mighty fine job of reporting "what he see's on the field". I suggest if you want a better report you go and get it your self!
