Now is a good time to get him on the cheap.

I say we ship Escobar and a 1st for him.

Remember...Escobar was a Giants fan...

Even if you were serious, which I doubt you are, he couldn't pass a physical to complete a trade right now anyway.

There could possibly be a 5th surgery too. I think an infection is the culprit here.

Good one. Of course a 1st for him isn't cheap plus he has a big contract.

Wasn't that mentioned in articles a couple of weeks ago? I can't remember for sure, but I think you are right. Someone also mentioned that his hard partying ways doesn't help if an infection is involved.

He was rushed back the first time, which was a mistake. When he was first coming back I thought he was returning too soon. It reminded me of when Dallas brought back Roy Williams too soon in 2008 and he re-broke his arm almost immediately.

I believe it was. I just read today that they will probably do a 5th one because the infection is not getting better.

I am sure drinking doesn't help his recovery either. Alcohol doesn't interfere with antibiotics, but it can cause more harsh reactions and lead to a slower healing process.

Didn't an infection take down Brady for a while as well? What are the doctors doing over there, using rusty implements?

At this stage you begin to worry if he hasn't developed something like chronic osteomyelitis (chronic bone infection) which is a very nasty condition and incompatible with playing contact sports.

I hope they get it under control very soon because I am now wondering if this isn't getting into the career threatening range.

Wow, someone either takes 4:20 time a little too serious :laugh2: or you are majorly joking

I wouldn't trade Ecobar alone for him

Always appreciate your medical perspective on this board - very insightful and a great contribution to the site.
