Some rational and accurate truths from the nerve center of Air America Cowboys, where the plain facts will jump up and bite you and say "howdy!"
Next up: Tri-county news and Bob's Busy Bee Computer Corner.

Before today (or, rather, Sunday), I thought Chicago and New York posed the biggest challenges to the Cowboys.

Fellow inmates, the way those two sad sacks played yesterday, makes me yearn to play them both. And we will the Giants. And, hopefully the Bears in the playoffs.

These two QBs are like sitting ducks for a hungry and resurgent Cowboys.

Yeah, tell me how Seattle, Carolina, New Orleans etc, even Atlanta (??) can be contenders too. Yes, but probably and ultimately, no.

Don't find my findings --- which involved Cray computers and surveys conducted on the streets of Farmers Branch (where Dixie flies proudly, men know autos and the women are not that bad looking) -- as pollyanna-ish.

It's the truth men.
Anybody says different, I will fight you man.:(

Its a relief to see the struggles of NFC QBs.

We all know how hard it is to win games when you cant protect the football (ie. Drew Bledsoe).

We can now protect the ball and with the amount of takeaways our defense gets our near future looks great.

Only QBs out there on "contenders" would be Brees and Hasselback to worry about IMO.

Bears defense might be nasty BUT rex is too much of a liabilty. The Pretenders are already sunk. Vick is dying out there.

Romo looking better and better in every aspect.

The Bears will be in the playoffs but if they face Carolina again they may not see the Conference Championship.

If Dallas takes out New York I have a feeling they will flounder away from the playoff hunt, if Dallas doesn't win they will have new life.

Seattle is getting it's stars back to which I frankly say so what, Dallas should've beat them last year and they can certainly handle this version especially if they meet at Texas Stadium for a divisional playoff.

Be VERY careful what you say about Seattle. With a healthey DJax this year, a healthy Alexander, a healthy Hasselbeck on his way, a healthy J. Stevens and newly acquired (sort of) D. Branch, this team is kinda just floating under the radar.

Be careful.

Well Sarge with you intimate knowledge of Seattle I'm assuming you are a Seattle fan--and if that's the case--well welcome to this Cowboys forum.

If you are a Cowboy fans making sure we don't take Seattle likely, RIP cause we won't. But we also believe we lost the game last year with Bledsoe's poor threw. He wasn't rushed or anything--he just messed up but it helped occasionally last year and a lot this year which is why we changed QBs. We've also added a few players since we last played the Seahawks in Seattle so if we face them we'll being so seeking revenge for that loss. We've got 3 different OL starters (Kosier/Gurode/Colombo) to go along with Witten (too offset the inconsistent J.Stevens), we've got a pretty good 3 WR set (TO/Glenn/Crayton), we'll see how our 2 back (Jones/Barber) does against your defense & we'll match our Romo against Hassalbeck. We've also got a pretty good defense too. Yes, we will be loaded for Bear if/when we face Seattle. It should be a good game.

It is easy to get excited right now. Everything seems to be going the Cowboys way.

I'll tell you, though, if the Giants beat the Cowboys next weekend, everything quickly falls back to earth.

Yeah, the Bears look very mortal. But the Seahawks are finally getting healthy and will be tough.

And those Saints. I know they aren't particularly good on defense, but they have the kind of long passing game that could present problems.

So, sure, enjoy it. I'm enjoying it. But it isn't a cakewalk.

The Bears in Chicago, where they are great at home (minus Miami), are a good club.

But one game at a time, make it to the playoffs then we worry.
