1974 Thanksgiving game...
Good one.

It was not even because it was really that great of a win, it was just incredible to do it with a nobody like Longley.

No team have I hated more than any Commander team coached by George Allen and to stick it to him like that was pretty good.

Lilly's sack of Griese in Super Bowl VI for about an 80 yard loss.

Mine was the Super Bowl against the Colts. Super Bowl 5. My Stepfather was a rabid Colts fan. I bet a dollar at halftime that the Cowboys would win. Lost the bet, but gained a team till this day will be mine till I die! This loss was my pinnacle moment for my team going forward. And Yours?

Same here. That was the first full NFL game I ever watched even though I followed the Cowboys; it left me wanting more.

Beating the Niners at Candlestick in 92.

I remember that entire day and I was only 6 years old.

Beating the Lions last year in the playoffs. I was so happy and truly felt the team a had a great shot of getting to the Super Bowl.

There haven't been a lot of high points since I started watching the team.

All I remember about the game at the time was that I cried when Dallas lost.
What was amazing about the game was that Chuck Howley, a defensive player for the losing team, won Super Bowl MVP.

When Emmitt Smith became the all-time leading rusher in NFL history in 2002. I only started watching the Cowboys in the 2nd half of the 90s (I'm 31), so I missed all the Super Bowls by an inch. Ugh.

I wish I was actually interested in football in 92... I was 8 and at the time I didn't want anything to do with sports lol.

This brings up bad memories especially with what is going on with racial tensions but.....
My first NFL game I was six, it was 1976 (yeah telling my age). My stepfather who loved the Browns and never forced us to have a favorite team. Took us to a Cowboys vs Eagles games....I remember in the second qtr getting one of those cheap flag/pennant type things.I remember it being cold and being called the N-word several times and even spit at by some Eagle fans during and after the game..

The Cowboys kicked *** 26-7....been hating Eagle fans every since.

I became a Cowboys fan in 1978 when I watched them beat up on the Rams in the NFC-CG 20-0. I then watched them lose to Pittsburgh in SB 13. I was 8 years old.

But the memories which burn the deepest:

- 1980 NFC-CG - Wilber Montegomery breaks loose in a tight game, and puts the game out of reach for us in a frozen Philly.
- 1981 NFC-CG - Gary Hogeboom's pass is blocked, picked up, and returned for a TD against Washington.
- 1982 NFC-CG - Not the CATCH, but Danny White taking the sack and fumbling. This was a play after Drew Pearson caught a 30 yard pass.

Those burn the deepest for an impressionable junior high school student.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 80's but getting revenge against the Steal-ers in the Super Bowl was bitter sweet for me...

And it is a beautiful thing. I can spend hours at a time watching old clips on Youtube (not necessarily just about Cowboys/football).

Actually, we did have a VHS of Super Bowl XXX for a while in the late 90s (my dad recorded it, it wasn't store bought so the quality wasn't great) and I did watch that countless times. Back then, just from this tape, I was convinced that Larry Brown was a future Hall of Famer.
