Gruden and Lovie Smith don't strike me as offensively aggressive coaches

If this season is another failure and we are in need of a new head coach I don't see either of these guys being very offensive minded "go for the win" type of guys. I was hoping we'd land one of these guys if it comes to that but I thought about it and I feel like we need a Sean Payton type coach that goes for the throat, Garrett will NEVER be that guy. I don't think we've gone for a 4th down in an unconventional situation in 5 years, maybe more. Are there any coaches that are available that come to mind that are like that?

Who is Peyton's OC this year? They're putting up even more points this year, after they lost OC Mike McCoy last season

If We get a new OC during the season I'd like mike Mularkey, if we hire a new coach I'd like to get Jay (not John) Gruden or the Saints OC (don't know his name

Ahhh Jay Gruden is a good one and idk how much the saints OC does honestly it seems like Sean Payton runs that offense

i don't think i want either one. go get art briles in waco. he knows how to develop qbs and oline. hand the defense over to marinelli.

Why doesnt Tom Cables name ever get mentioned when people are talking about getting a new HC? Is it because hes not on TV enough?

Unfortunately, the only type of coaches that can work(results wise) in this organization are those with skins on the wall. That would be Gruden, Cowher, etc. I would love an up and coming experienced college coach with some NFL experience but there is no way they get to do things their way from the start.

Sumlin(A@M) or Shaw(Stanford) would be good choices if Jerry was not in charge. There is no way Saban leaves Alabama, he wants to retire in five years anyways.

Whoever it will be, it will be another yes man. We may end up disliking him too but at least the ginger would be gone, so there is that.

where is he now, Seattle right? I felt bad for that guy when he was head coach in Oakland. Holy moly. What a brutal situation. Anyway, like I have said many times....it is interesting discussion, but I just cannot see Jerry replacing JG. For him to do that....I think Dallas would have to collapse. Like lose 6 out of their last 8 and end the season with a 4 game losing streak.

With that said, we all have a guy in our mind that we could tolerate as next coach....and here is my guy....nobody call me names now.....Ken Whisenhunt.

Cable is a monster. I dont think he would get along with JJ though. He takes absolutely no **** from anyone. He had that awful Raider team playing but he thought it was prudent to punch a assisstant coach.
JG will be here again there is almost no way to avoid a playoff birth. That will be enough and if he fools around and wins one... thats gonna be another 3 years.

Are you saying he might mess around and get a triple-double?

He'll look up at the Goodyear blimp and it'll say "Ginger is a pimp".

That day will be a Good Day.

at this point ill take a lone wolf, no seriously, just one wolf. I think it could make better choices and a better motivator. Cant hurt at this point.

If John Gruden is hired for OC will his brother Jay follow? If so, that is a great strategy. Jay may not be ready for HC yet and Saints OC is not the actual play caller in NO and he was never considered for interim HC when Payton was out last season.

But John Gruden coaches with a passion and with an edge. Instills real swagger. Something the Cowboys really need. And it doesn't hurt that he knows how to win and has developed record breaking offenses. The Bucs defenders loved him when he was in TB, he challenged them to score defensive TDs, and they did.

Offensive aggression/explosive or offensive timely/situational scoring?

I choose the latter
