If this does not light a fire under the Cowboys collective butts...not sure what will.

Agreed.

And I think we'll find out next week that this loss did light that fire.

There are just too many strong, young, competitive, prideful players on this squad for them to just all roll over.

It's a good thing there are not many really tall buildings around the Dallas Fort Worth area.
People would be jumping off them from yesterdays performance.

Yes, the win one and lose one is a recipe for an 8-8 season but it is early and the coming weeks will let us know if this loss was simply a chimera.

I remember a crappy Atlanta team just kicking the **** out of a super bowl contending Dallas team coached by Jimmy Johnson. It was 1992 (I think) and the team was really good. Atlanta just was on that day and Dallas was off.

It happens.

It isn't time to jump out of the plane and pull the rip cord.
I was at that game emit got hurt I do believe

People have got to take this for what it was. A good old fashion tail kicking. They had answers for everything we did. It happens. How we respond moving forward is my only concern. The loss is in the rear view.

The question about the O-line performance being an anomaly is what concerns me. The answer to that has to be yes or we are in big trouble.

They attacked our line with more players and shot through every gap daring us to beat them with passing and we didn't. The Oline was outnumbered with 8-9 in the box. We just need to make some adjustments to keep defenses honest IMO

Denver's a good team especially at home and their defense is elite. The End. Time to put this game behind us. The whole team sucked yesterday. Time to turn it around at Arizona.

Finally, some level headed reasoning. Unless they would've only split one guy out wide, they were always going to be outnumbered.

Title kind of sums it up.

We go from whooping butt against the Giants even though the score said it was closer than it was....
To getting our butt completely whooped by the Broncos.

You could argue that we may or may not have won the special teams game but we were killed in all other phases of the game.

We are going to go full blame mode this week.

From Jerry Jones down to the strength trainers.

Why didn't Jerry go out and get this or that guy? Why did Jerry get this guy (Carroll comes to mind).

Why didn't JG prepare these guys better. Why didn't he go for it on 4th and 1 in the first quarter or the 4th quarter.

Why didn't Scott Linehan play calls better, maybe play get switzer involved and let him and Beasley get short passes and try to make something happen out of them.

Why are we still having players with hamstring issues.

Why is an future hall of famer still committing False starts aka Witten.

Why is Witten and Dez dropping balls they should catch.

Why is Dak missing on some throws.

Why is the Oline not able to block enough to get more than 8 rushing yards.

Why is zeke not able to get more than 8 rushing yards, why is he standing around with his hands on his hips instead of at least pretending to care about an INT.

Why is JG Still clapping on the sidelines...although for those that think this is important about clapping...I did see him do a hand brush from his forehead down in a look of disgust...so hey you have that shiny moment for the anti clapping crowd.

Why can our Defense get multiple sacks, pressures, an INT and recover a fumble and still let them gain so many yards and points.

How can we have so many DBs being injured from training camp to during games.

How can we miss so many tackles vs RBs

How can our DBs slide and fall so many times vs their WRs and or TEs

How can we be give up around a 120 yards more than we gained.

How long has it been since we lost the time of possession by such a big margin in the first half, we gained some later but by that time it was over.

=====

This was like Murphy's law.
This was just a good old fashioned Butt Whooping.

Maybe we were due for it.
Maybe the team was buying it's own hype on the Oline and running game.
Maybe the Defense was feeling it's oats after dominating the Giants.
Maybe the altitude had something to do with it although that did not "look" like a factor.

Who knows...what we do know is we went from being the butt whooper to the butt whoopee.

Hopefully this will open the eye of the front office, the HC, the OC and DC, the players and the organization as a whole.

Hopefully this lights a fire under them.

There will be problems when you have a young and injured secondary. There will be problems when your LB corp is questionable with a guy that is not really 100% in Smith but still playing and a guy suspended. With a DE's being suspended...Tank is killing it...if one of those guys can come back and help that would great.

But for the life of me I did not see the Oline failing to produce a running game that bad yesterday nor helping Dak in the passing game. I am hoping that is an anomaly.

We will have to wait and see. I just know one thing...I don't want to see us getting stomped like that again any time soon.
I know that sometimes it takes a mistake or a loss in my business to really get myself refocused and realize that I have been slacking lately. Hoping this game is one of those types of moments. A wake up call.

There is nothing you can take away from a beat down and humiliation of that magnitude. Other than there are 14 games left in this regular season. They aren't going away. And you're going to have to play in all of them.

You have to believe that if you prepare the right way and play hard, take one game at a time, you can win and the team will improve.

Arizona is next.

If we were due we sure got one. I hope every coach and player got thoroughly embarrassed.
