in the Elvis world...some of these soundtrack tunes are not held in high regard.
Elvis detested most of them.
Clambake or Hey Little Girl will NEVER appear on any greatest hits compilation...but i just love the way he sings them...his voice has an edge to it.
he hated these songs so much he would stand with his back pressed to the wall in the studio.
but he was also a perfectionist and would work at them til he was satisfied with his own performance.
you gotta be a die-hard to reach in there and pull'm out.
harem holiday will never make a list of Elvis' 100 greatest...but i enjoy it.
