Gumbel

I know it isn't nice or proper to speak badly of someone...but Bryant Gumbel has to be the worst, most annoying broadcaster in all of professional sports.

Certainly the NFL can find someone better to fill his role.

agreed...his hate for the cowboys really shows...and he is horrible ahhhh i wanted to put it on mute ...i dont know how collingsworth handles him...lol
 
And to think, most guys here grew up listening to Summerall and Madden.

Uhhhhh...the Cowboys won 13 games in 1992 on their way to a Super Bowl championship. Oh where to begin with the mistakes Gumbel makes every broadcast. Frankly, I'm rather embarassed for the NFL Network. Certainly they can do better than him for their main broadcaster.
 
Oh well I heard worst, try catching a Bills vs Cardinals game or a Lions vs Seahawks game, I bet u feel different...
 
He's a news guy right? He seems less knowledgable than any other announcer I've heard.
 
Absolutely horrific announcing. The guy doesn't even know the rules of the NFL and then decides to make up his own rules after being proven wrong. 100 guy in a bar rule? What the?
 
Quite the contrast from some names most of you guys remember: Summerall and Madden.

it was julius pepper a few times.
steve smith had 9 carries tonight.
and the panthers were playing the 12-2 packers tonight at one point.

he must have pics of an exec w/a duck or something to keep his job.
 
I'd like to see Gumbel gone after this season. He is very painful to listen to.

After listening to Bob Davie butcher Purdue players names for years I never thought anyone could be worse. Man was I really really wrong. Gumbel may be the worst ever. :bang2:

i don't care who's got what opinion, but lord all mighty - at least sound like you know the game if you're going to call it.

i feel like he's the nerdy girlfriend who's trying to understand the 3 point play from beyond the line in the NFL.
 
I can not believe how bad Gumbel is, it is as if he means to be a total idiot.

Whatever, I could care less. Cowboys won. He can go cry himself to sleep gazing upon his Jimmy Riggin's fathead.

I've watched about half of all the NFLN games this year and he's been terrible in every single one of them.
