Its official. Coachella headline followed by a stadium tour.

No Adler or Izzy (yet). Fortus and Ferrer on tap.

At least that will make the time pass until the 2016 season

Never been an Adler fan, but loved Izzy's work on UYI

Should be fun while it lasts.

Here's the thing. Like Robert plant with great unique voices.... How does he sound Now?
It's gonna hurt.

Few years back Robert plant commented that don Henley was bored.
Bored or not he can still hit every note.

Robert can't.

Henley said... In reply to Plant saying no he won't reunite with step cause he's not bored.

He went on to deliver a back-handed compliment to the Led Zeppelin singer. "I really wish [Led Zeppelin] would get back together because they were one of the greatest bands of all time," he began, promisingly. "I think maybe Robert is worried about hitting those notes. He may not be able to unbutton his shirt any more."

Count me as excited. Hope they come to the Houston area before an Axl meltdown that breaks them up.

Well in defense of Percy the material he had to sing in Zep was more demanding than the Eagles material. Speaking of Plant why he has been so adamant in separating himself from Zeppelin but will do watered down world music versions of classic Zeppelin material.

Yes and no.
Plants ripping, screaming lyrics are monster.
Henley and co are melodic... But see them live... They hit their high notes very well.

Re: Plant. I remember reading when they go back together opinion early 89s. Plant and Zep got ripped for out of sync and bad performance. I think that stayed with him.

Plants Big Log was good album.

Nah, .......Saw Page and Plant in 98 and his voice still then was pretty good. Stellar show. For Plants first few solo tours he refused to play any Zeppelin material whatsoever, only later on {late80s} did he incorporate Zep material into his shows. Sadly these days father time has gotten the best of his voice. Zep, or the remaining members are one of the few acts who could tour today and sell out something other than a Indian casino.

I've seen Axl a few times in the past few years. First thing is there is no vocal track. So I always appreciate that. He can still hit most notes though he does go into falsetto to save the voice for the key moments.

You will not this get this, but I would never expect it

I was at this Vegas show and he was on (2:55-3:20)

I have some interesting Axl and band periphery stories. For one, when we moved to LA in 2010, we were looking at house that turned out to be Richard Fortus (who was in the recent line up). We bought the house up the street in the same neighborhood and ran into Fortus a few times walking the dog and strolling the baby. He mentioned how Axl gave him the a 70" plasma as a housewarming gift in 2006 and gave him an account to Buy Buy Baby "that would last way past time for school."

Everything I hear is that he seems to be a genuine good guy and was never into the drugs after appetite - just a perfectionist and holds a grudge (obviously). He's dropping weight in prep so Im pretty geeked that they seem to be taking this seriously

Interesting, thanks. Real experience Intel.

I think he's friggin selfish with that attitude. But whatever.

They could clean up. Bonham's son would be great to round out the group on a tour.
They would probably have to do an unplugged acoustic tour.

No more screaming lyrics. Lol

Good stuff thanks.

GnR were BIG ... I mean we played the entire album throughout college. Arguably one of best complete albums. All songs very good to great.

I'm a fan!

Yep, I think that was the first 'tape' I converted to cd cause I wore it out in late high school early college days. Brings back memories, we used to rip off those cd clubs like BNG and that other big one where you'd get 10 cd's for a penny, using different names, parents work addresses, etc, good times.ha

I would say an argument could be easily made that GnR was one of the best bands ever during their prime. They were amazing together. I am hoping they come to Houston. I never saw them when I was younger so this would be a bucket list item. I am slowly but surely crossing off the bucket list items when it comes to music. I got to see Ozzie a few years ago and he put on an amazing show. I got to see Kiss with makeup and Peter Criss but unfortunately no Ace Frehley(saw them when I was younger without makeup and without Peter and Ace). I got to see Styx live. I still want to see the Eagles live.

I could go arguably best complete album. Not band. :)
Zep, Eagles, etc. they put out multiple great albums in their prime.

Ozzy, even now... I would still want to see.

You should see Eagles live. It's not in their DNA to put on bad show. Glen and Don are perfectionists.

Every opportunity I would have had to see the Eagles live, one of my kids had something going on sports related and I never missed anything they did unless they both had something going on at the same time and more times than not I was the coach. As much as I love music, my kids come first. Both of my kids are in college now so my schedule has "opened up" although I do miss going to see them and coaching them. My daughter was offered a spot on both the soccer and golf teams at UT Dallas but she decided to be an Aggie with no sports.

BTW, I saw Ozzie at VooDooFest in New Orleans four or five years ago. My son wanted to go to the festival so I took him. Ozzie put on a great show. We had the VIP tickets, so I was VERY close to the stage. It was awesome!!!! Bourbon Street on Halloween night is a sight to see.

Absolutely on you kids :)

Eagles did a "history of the Eagles" tour... Knowing full well that their history included Don Felder but he is OUT!!!

Funny and sorta sad at same time.
The music for the song originated from a demo written and recorded by Don Felder and given to Don Henley and Glenn Frey to write lyrics.

They made absolutely no mention him.... Told the story somewhat sarcastically.
