Weems = Rob Pettiti 2.0

They're going to keep carrying him until he's forced into a starting role and bombs. I don't like it. Churn!

You're crazy! Lol. No way. Dunbar will be just fine this year. He was a big reason why we won vs the Gnats.
Wow, I just had a Cpt. Obvious moment.

Dunbar is great on screens and I think Dallas will have a lot of plays for him doing this, also I think DMac can show case his speed and moves against the Eagles.

:eek: no way! So Christine Michael makes him expendable. Who would've thought...

I completely disagree.

Physically, Weems has everything it takes to play OT. Pettiti was not remotely close to him in physical talent.

I will say I don't know how long you wait on a guy like Weems to learn because he has been here quite awhile (Dec 2012). It's much easier to wait with a player on the practice squad than one on the active roster.

They didn't help Weems by playing him at LT in the preseason. Also, playing next to a rookie at LG didn't help him.

If Weems had to play RT and could do it next to Martin, I think he would be decent. The problem is that they have to have a swing guy and can't carry a developmental RT with 4 RBs and 4 TEs on the roster.

It's really difficult to develop OLinemen because they can only progress up to a point with just practice and preseason games, IMO; however, unlike DLinemen you can't just ease them in with a few snaps here and there.

The funniest thing ever is that in the 2014 training camp, before his injury Broaddus and Mickey claimed that Weems would beat out Parnell. Looking back that was obviously never in the history of ever going to happen.

I like this, we can continue the development project for Weems at no cost. If he pans out, great. If not, no loss.

Haha hyperbole bro. Pettiti was atrocious. He didn't have the physical or mental make-up. Hopefully Weems turns out more like Free. Not a road grader but an adequate starter. Yes, I know you hate Free.

oh dear lords, why do they torture us like this. Come on, with Green, Collins, anyone else, why arent we lettng Weems walk, He probably wont be used this year, anotehr year older and another year wasted. Let him walk. heres a better chance we need Gus due to injuries of our oft injured RB stable.

They are going to need to give Dunbar a carry every once in a while to keep the defense honest.

I'd rather have Gus than Weems, but it's a numbers game.

I think they're waiting for a defense to go Nickel when Dunbar is in the game and then they'll run it.
