That would hurt so bad. One time we were craning a big A/C unit up on a roof and the stupid owner of the building was up there. Why, I do not know. The crane was at full extension for the old A/C unit and the owner got between the unit and the crane. I told him several times that it was dangerous and he should get out of there. He thought the swing of the A/C unit would take a gouge out of the roof. I told him, you won't be able to stop it if it does.
He wouldn't listen. Bil, the guy I worked for told him to move too and he got pissy with Bil and told him to do what he was paying him to do. Bil, gave the up signal and the crane lifted the unit up and ran right over the owner who honestly thought he could push back on it and guide it. It only broke his arm.
He deserved it IMO. I can't even fathom what that big steel hook would feel like hitting you.
