Guys, an ideal just occured to me, if the talk about jerry jones wanting to move up, if this is true, and jerry covets him and willing to do it, remember jerry said he wasnt opposed to packaging draft picks last year, now what he maybe should have done, trade last year for peterson, but follow my ideal if true

how about trading our 22nd pick and greg ellis to patriots for their # 1 pick, then your at the 7th slot, then trade back up to say 4th pick with raiders, keep your 28th pick though, but if the trade rumors for shopping marcus spears and bobby carpenter is true, then trade that, maybe a future pick to oakland for their 4th pick,

then with our 2nd or 3rd pick trade for jason taylor, he might even be had for a 4th round pick since he just underwent foot surgery, sure i know your taking a change, but if you guys all remember it was reported that greg was compllaining again, and said he would rather be traded to new england patiots to be on a super bowl winner, to me, when greg says he wants to be a on a super bowl winner and isnt interested in be on the cowboys to help them get to a superbowl and win, i dont want him.

i want a guy on our team that is a team player and wants to go to the super bowl like jason taylor does, adn if taylor is done, work with anthony spencer, he should get more playing time anyway

then with your 28th pick, you move back up in draft and get a crommie cb or the guy from troy, etc, we need a cb bad,

then, if your serious jerry and want to take a big big gamble, if a really good player is there in 20's offer your 2009 pick # 1 to trade and get that pleyer, guys i know your going to say, no dont do that, but remember now, were not far off from a superbowl, but we need impact players on this team to take us to the next step.

what i would like to see in free agency

either resign flozell or sign max starks, a younger nastier flozell
dansby at Inside linebacker, trade akin, he has done nothing
if feasiable go get roy williams, wr from detroit, heck you might even be able to trade akin and bobby carpenter for him, id throw in nate jones, reeves too,

but id keep barber to team with mcfaden,
what id rather see though is keep our 2 #1 picks, trade akin, carpenter, spears, if u have too, get like felix jones at rb, i think in time he will be alot better than mcfadden, he can cut better, or go get chris johnson rb

then with your other # 1 pick go get crommie at cb, or a good one, and i would draft schmidt fullback, then i would trade hoyte to miami, we all know how parcells loves his players, you might get a 5th to 7th for hoyte, then you have either the next daryl johnston or ratham fb that played for the 49ers, this team needs a true fullback, with size and power, with your 2nd round pick go get a wr slash punt returner, we need one bad, if you guys listened to nate newton and the rocket (ishmael) on gameday, you would have heard, the rocket say that this team needs an impact punt and kickoff return guy to take this team to another level like hester does for the bears, or sproles does for san diego, get that, guys and were back in contention, but i still say that stay at 22nd and 28th, or move up just a little so tampa bay doesnt get felix jones, or the Commanders dont get crommie at cb, since we need 2 impact players like that,

remember now, at 22nd pick you generally dont get an impact player, you have to move up to 17th to 20th spot to get that good a player, remember emmit smith was a 17th pick and so was warren sapp, heck if you remember even randy moss was a 21st pick, BUT DONT GIVE UP THE FARM FOR MCFADDEN, REMEMBER HE HAD TOE SURGERY AND WE ALL REMEMBER HOW THAT RUINED DEION SANDERS CAREER, AND HOW THAT TOE INJURY HURT THE GREAT TE FOR THE CHARGERS IN THE PLAYOFFS,

I think Barber has FAR less value as trade bait than most people think -- he's a back who has never carried the load by himself - EVER. Putting that aside, whoever trades for him would also have to sign him to a big contract. Picks plus $$$? I expect that if a team really wanted a back who hadn't carried the load, that they would target Michael Turner and save their pick

I feel bad thinking about how much time people put into these unrealistic fantasy scenarios.

It is being repored on espn that chris mortenson is saying that jerry jones contacted him and told him, it would take the cowboys 2 # 1 picks and barber to move up to get mcfadden, i think that is a big big mistake,

your giving up 3 players for 1, and we still dont know if mcfadden is a great rb that can truly cut, im not saying that mcfadden doesnt have great speed he does, but can he truly cut, on a dime, we all know that our offensive line cant open huge holes, so u need a back that can cut, and it takes a rb some time to get into running shape,

guys i am already thinking that something has already been underneath the table, with parcells and jeff ireland and jerry jones, thats what im afraid of, as good as a draft this is with running backs, i say stay close to where we are, we may have to move up just alittle to get felix jones, etc or a top flight cb, but stay close to where we are, dont give up the farm for mcfadden,

See, that is where you got all messed up! ESPN said that he could cut on a penny, not a dime!

Member since 2004, just over 1,000 posts, and you seem to have started an inordinate number of threads recently... most of them beginning with the word "Guys" in the title.

Someone may need to consider going back to lurking.
