Guyton looks good

The few short clips of Guyton i saw he looked fast, and under control. Waiting to hear how he held up in mondays padded practice. Im holding out hope for this young man.
As expected.

Guyton was a very raw player. Generally raw players break out around their 3rd year. He is exactly in line w/ what should have been expected of him.

He needs to step up this year for sure. Get over that minor nagging injury bug.
This offense was very goos as we all know. Steele seems to be getting back to form as well.
This offense in year 2 can be even more explosive if they can get the OL going as we all want.

I have not heard good things about Steele. The opposite in fact. I’ve heard he’s repeatedly struggling in pass protection.

I would hope guys like Guyton at least get a few snaps in preseason.

Understand resting guys like Dak, CDL, Pickens etc.
But to me, some could use the reps, especially against hungry guys trying to make their own roster.

Guyton is the key to the offense. Potentially our best offensive linemen. I think his biggest problem was staying healthy. Sadly he seems to have a hard time playing injured.

He was looking good last year in camp

Usually after fans watch the NFL a few years, they catch on that so many nobodies "look good in camp" every year....because....it's camp.

Then, those fans get a bit more realistic and stop geeking out over every 7th round rookie or 1st round bust that can run around in shorts every summer.

Not here though

We're the Kings of Training Camp Hall Of Famers

None of this "fool me once" business around here! Here, it's "Fool me two thousand eight hundred and ninety four times, shame on YOU....but fool me FIFTY THOUSAND times....well, that's shame on you too."

Steele has always been a stellar run blocker and a poor pass blocker. I was shocked when we paid him, as he is so one dimensional. I mean, he's an 8 as a run blocker, and like a 2 as a pass blocker, and always has been.

Yeah. They’re saying he looks to have plateaued as a pass blocker.

To be fair I think he always looks good in camp. It’s when the injuries and opposing teams come in.

Guyton does look good he stone walled EZE and kept him from getting to Dak . He also made a nice block on Overshown up the middle of the field, on a running play. Guyton looks sharp.

Possibly work Shelton to take over for him as soon as 2027?

Would not doubt they draft an OL then in 2027, maybe a 3rd round pick, to use as a swing tackle then.
If that is what they want from Shelton this season.

Just throwing something out there to get opinions.

Athletic and awkward? Polar opposite words. Not possible.
Kenneth Murray...Althetic but awkward.

Big, strong and can run fast and jump high but last season he opten seemed to trip over his own feet.
