Guyton looks good

The few short clips of Guyton i saw he looked fast, and under control. Waiting to hear how he held up in mondays padded practice. Im holding out hope for this young man.
They showed a clip of him totally smothering Overshown, Jesse Holley reported on it on his page, he said it's one thing he's worried about (Overshown) uhh, good job though to Guyton keep it up

Possibly work Shelton to take over for him as soon as 2027?

Would not doubt they draft an OL then in 2027, maybe a 3rd round pick, to use as a swing tackle then.
If that is what they want from Shelton this season.

Just throwing something out there to get opinions.
why not thoughts??? Step out of your comfort zone for once pal!!! ;)

Guyton is the key to the offense. Potentially our best offensive linemen. I think his biggest problem was staying healthy. Sadly he seems to have a hard time playing injured.
toss up between him and maybe Beebee for 3-5, it's clearly smith, Booker, then whoever else

There was some mention of Shelton getting more work on the right side.

Thoughts?
No, rather have opinions.
Thought are random processing ideas that may lead to an opinion.
Opinions are more of a defined judgment based on an idea (or a thought). So more refined.
As we know some thoughts can be just that, if thrown out there before thinking it through, to provide an opinion.

Another brick in the wall, the great wall of Dallas. You can't have any pudding if you can't get to the quarterback;)

Hopes do exist for Guyton to get over his former injuries and improve his pass blocking. Let's see how he manages to do with more time to prove he's ready to retain his job. It's early yet. He's likely to get more time to prove himself to be the starter. If not, other options will be given chances. Whether they step up capably or not remains to be seen. Hopefully, Tyler's injury problems will be resolved.

That’s great to see.

Guyton just looks different.

He looks like he’s finally started to fill out his frame and looks more like an NFL left tackle.

I so want to see this work out. For both the player and the team. It would be huge for the upcoming season, as well as the future.

Yeah. They’re saying he looks to have plateaued as a pass blocker.
I mean anybody that thought Steele was going to improve this season is delusional. And there were some on here that thought that

Tyler Smith drops in and he is talking about Guytons off season improvements.

Last year it was "Guyton's been training with Tyron Smith"
This year "Looks good"

I have not heard good things about Steele. The opposite in fact. I’ve heard he’s repeatedly struggling in pass protection.
He’s struggled in pass protection his whole career. He is garbage and I can’t wait for him to be gone.

We have been watching him give up pressure in key situations for years.

Guyton at least has potential. Steele has hit his…. And it ain’t good.

I’m admittedly one of them.

I thought year two of working with the new coaches might help him to improve.

Guess not.

I guess he’ll always be that undrafted free agent level of talent.

Yeah. I don’t want to sound too strong against him so I guess “garbage” isn’t fair.

But he is a backup level guy. If he’s your backup tackle. That’s fine. But he isn’t a starting caliber player. He just isn’t.

To his credit he worked hard and maxed out what his talent was capable of. But his limitations are real and as you said, that’s why he was undrafted.
