They talk about Guyton making improvements. And other OL tidbits.
They said Hoffman plays 3 different OL spots. And that they are not leaning to 1 payer being a swing tackle. More of a left side, right side back up using 2 different players for that depth.

Video about 3 minutes long.

So Richards is the backup LT and possibly Jones the back up RT?

Personally Id like to see Richards competing with Steele to be the starting RT.

Apparently Voch as spoken to Guyton after practice and said a few things to him about his game. I Think they have something in the works voch wouldn't say, but I think he's going to have him on his show possibly

I hope that Guyton gets immovable printed on his forehead this training camp!

Don't sleep on
Hakeem Adenij

The back up tackle spot definitely looking better than the recent past

We seem to be very deep at O-line. Some podcasters are saying we may keep as many as 10. Hence, the right side and left side focus instead of swing.

According to Broaddus: Richards has been working both OT spots. More interestingly he has been lining up as a blocking TE in short yardage packages.

We'll find out about Guyton soon enough. Should we be a little concerned that Booker has not already beaten out Jones decisively? Although now with Jones out with an injury it looks like Booker wins by default.

The Cowboys have a lot of young offensive linemen on the roster. Guys like Richards, Bass, Hoffman and Thomas all look like they could develop into solid players. We'll see what kind of player Cornelius turns out to be. Adeniji is on a 1 year vet minimum deal. I do not see the upside in him winning the right tackle back up role. What does that say about the Cowboys OL youth?

I thought we might do that (have a left-side and right-side backup) but we have been using Asim Richards at both LT and RT as well as Nathan Thomas, so I don't know if we are leaning that way. I thought we were making Richards a LT-LG backup and would make Rob Jones a RG-RT backup, but it also depends on how many backup OL you want to take to games.

Right now, Hoffman is definitely on the game roster as the center backup, so do you want to commit to two tackles?

I do think we like the guard-tackle versatility so we have our bases covered.

Hoffman C-LG_RG
Bass LG-RG-C
Richards LT-LG-RT
Thomas RT-LT
Adeniji RT-LT

I think, especially with Rob Jones out now, that is our top five backups. I haven't read or seen much about our other OL draft pick this year, Cornelius, though.

I'm not sure it's a big deal. I think No-Schott was just giving him a rookie reminder that you have to earn it. This is the time to capitalize on any mistakes or missteps with that reminder.
