Guyton working with Tyron Smith in offseason

Guyton has the physical ability and appears to want to put the work in. That ought to add up to some sort of good result.

Not sure he is an NFL left tackle but that’s where he is going to play.

For me he has to prove he is better than Richards but for the decision makers on this team, his draft status had already decided that.
You are right but at some point if Richards does prove to be the better left tackle….maybe he can go to right tackle and Asim at left.

I think Guyton is gonna take that left tackle spot and not look back though. I think I like Richards more than this front office.

Not a better player for him to learn from.

Of course, when I became editor of the newspaper I work for, we brought in the former clerk to train the current clerk. She tried to show him how to do the job right but he just didn't seem to get it. I ended up firing him and hiring her back. So ... welcome home, Tyron.
Are you sure she didn't sabotage him?

"I tried, sir but he just can't get it. Guess I'm the only one in the world who knows how to do this. So .... since you need a clerk and all, I'd be willing to come back for only 150% of my former salary."

Tyron looks more fit than Chuck Norris.

He was a former reporter and just wasn't good at the multi-tasking it takes for the position. He'd be trying to put a press release in the system, for instance, and a customer would call. He'd get flustered and hang up on the customer. She gave it a valiant effort with him.

All of this.
Exactly this.

Rooting for him. Seems to me he is putting in the work contrary to how a lot of people were trying to frame his work ethic after year one

He's owned the fact that he didn't do well and you can't get better unless you realize there's a need to get better and work towards it. Hope he finds his groove.

Really is a shame the Cowboys never managed to get Tyron Smith a Super Bowl ring.
