No matter what you think of the roster and coaches, the front office actually aggressively attacked the perceived roster weaknesses of the team. The only thing they have not done (which I would wager they will) is another move for another pass rusher. They have recently thrown tons of cash at new defensive players and tons of premium draft capital at defensive and a piece of offensive talent (both this last draft and upcoming). Jerry is a gambler at heart and the past 12 months have been about trying to make major improvement this season. That’s why the team has so few draft choices remaining in what is supposed to be the strongest draft in a long time (2027). Add proven talent and get immediate results. Dak turns 34 next year. Jerry getting much older now. Please. Please. Please Work. Hail Mary season. They can still make the playoffs in this putrid division-so there’s that and that’s all Jerry wants. Get into the playoffs-give the kids a thrill (he would kill for another McCarthy 12-5 season and get bounced soundly out of the playoffs, and it seems some of the fans feel the same way).
