The article above talks about Todd Haley and I like what it says and it makes me like him as a coach even more. He may be a flash in the pan and currently over rated by the Cardinals success, but I wouldn't bet on it. I'm not qualified to judge talent or coaches, but I'm getting more convinced each day that our beloved GM isnt either

I respond to people with passion and intensity and being pushed. Am I that unusual? Why does it seem taboo around valley ranch to have coaches that are tough on players & expect discipline?

Why do coaches bolt out of Dallas? Why would coaches want to leave the most popular team in the league after having a 13-3 record to take a similar job with a 1-15 Miami?

The answer that keeps ringing in my head is Jerry freaking Jones.

I still havent recovered from the Philly debacle and the disaster this year was and I find myself getting more angry by the day with all the crap I read.

I just cant believe how quickly this organization appears to have disintegrated into chaos.

PUKE!

I think he is a good coach, but only as offensive coordiantor, you have to have a little mixture, while when needed show compusure, style, but be rough when you have too.

Haley to me comes across to me too tough, and that means to me, the players wont stand for it eventually. Now if Haley became head coach of a team that was real close to playoffs, just needed alittle kicking, discipline. I think it would work.

Kinda like when parcells became head coach of the cowboys and parcells told jerry jones, we have to win right away. Jerry thought he meant just win, but parcells meant win, get into playoffs and win more. Or the players wont put up with the hard style.

Kinda like Jimmy Johnson, if you looked at his record, he hardly stayed at one place longer than 5 years because the players got burned out due to his hard style and antics.

Just my opinion, now i think someone like sparano is in to stay a good while as a head coach, so can tomlin, harbourgh, and whisenhunt.

You have to know what buttons to push, when to lay off, and when to kick rear ends when you need too, Then, when you win championships, you get th e respect of the players, and they will stay with you as long as you win.

Its kinda like coughlin, he was hard nosed like Haley is, but he had to soften up a little. Then, it worked for coughlin.

I also think the best way to go, and I am reversing my thinking here. I was all for gruden or shanahan. Yet, its like someone posted here awhile back, head coaches that win their first or 2nd super bowl with the same team, hardly ever win another super bowl with another team.

So, in reality, you need a young coach, that has some skins on the wall as a offensive coordianator or defensive coordiantor, and maybe he has had some experience as assistant head coach. Then, that coach still has the fire to win his first superbowl.

Afterwards he wins his first or second superbowl, the fire kinda goes out,
