Half Full? Or Half Empty?

This W on Thanksgiving is a curious signpost on this 2022 season.

We beat a division opponent after going minus 2 on turnover differential and committing 13 penalties. You don’t get too many wins when you do that.

One the one hand, we continue to make the same dumb mistakes that have hounded us for years. Some would say we beat a depleted, inferior team in NY. Valid point. Half Empty.

But on the other hand, this team has shown it can be elite and “turn it on” when it gets focused and can overcome adversity (4-1 with a backup QB, huge bounce-back W vs Minny after a gut punch L to GB) , and it just might be good enough to win even when they aren’t playing their best ball. Took over and dominated NY in the 2nd half and it should have been even worse. Half Full.

We are 8-3 with three straight winnable games to start Dec and the playoff push. Are they good enough in your opinion to win a watered down NFC?

Yes I do think so. This is the best defense we’ve had if the run defense plays well

that said penalties can be an issue as well but I’m half full guy

The D is definitely nasty vs the pass. Best D we have had in a very, very long time.

That said— They don’t stand up well against teams that have a physical ground game. Hopefully they can continue to improve in that department.

I think the combination of having a team that is good in all 3 phases of the game, playing in a watered down conference gives them the best shot they have had in a while.

It’s all in front of them… here’s to hoping they don’t crap the bed lol

Niners still worry me, could have done without them getting McCaffrey, lol. I don't sweat the IGGLES, Boys can beat them.

Dallas still has issues. Biggest being the run defense is kinda bad by design. But everyone probably has questions like that in the NFL. No team is perfect. Just gotta keep on plugging along and focus on the next game.

If the run game continues the wins should continue.
If they revert back to an offense that depends on Dak Prescott to win, expect the same results of the past.

NFC Championship Game = Half Full
Anything Less = Half Empty

Hopefully the remaining regular season is a more than half full effort by the team to gain some needed momentum going into the playoffs.

I honestly don't know.
This team is consistently inconsistent.

Easily. They were doing well with penalties for the last several games until the Giants. That crew always calls a lot of penalties. Got to correct the obvious penalties but if they do that and stay healthy they can go all the way.

I'll take half full. What fun is half empty anyways? I will believe until they are knocked out of the playoffs. Before that, I'm enjoying the ride.

I'm half full.

Not the greatest performance but it showed me we can win in different ways and don't have to be perfect to get the W.

The team has balance and a good O and D, if either has an outstanding game, we should win. If the both have a decent game, we should win.

I also think we have the attention of other teams who will worry we can win in different ways and if that keeps them off balance, good.

Ride til I die lol

I must be drinking from a thermos. I can't tell if it's half full or half empty.
