Halftime

Sorry. Eye-candy winning karaoke contest singers who dance like a robot just doesn't really do it for me. Last I checked, being beautiful was not a talent, and considering the large number of beautiful women out there, not all that entertaining or special.

I like performances. If I want karaoke, I can find 5 girls at a bar who can sing every bit as well as Miss Underwood live. The guys in tights - they had talent. If that troubles you, ok. Not my problem.

Your telling me the girl can't sing????:laugh2:

I think your tastes all in your mouth.

With all due respect.

Gotta say I totally agree with that. For someone that wasn't focused on her "assets," I found her performance pretty boring.

I much preferred John Fogerty, because even though his voice wasn't what it was years ago, he didn't make me want to take a nap in the gravy.

Wait a minute here. YOU said the guys in tights kind of weirded you out, not me. I just said glad you enjoyed them....it's America.....to each his own, enjoy.

She can sing - definitely. So can lots of people. With all due respect, I think anyone impressed by that performance needs to hit some local clubs and see what real performers can get from the crowd. ;) She sings fine. She dances like a robot, and has zero charisma. It was boring.

I disagree about the show. I thought is was great. It was far better than any Super Bowl halftime shows in recent years.

Never having been into American Idol, I had no idea who Carrie Underwood was until yesterday, but I thought she (and the halftime) were perfect for a Thanksgiving Day game.

I also enjoyed J Fogarty...I guess Juke did as well.

The guys in tights only got weird when they appeared to start reenacting the painting on the roof of the Sistine chapel. The rest was impressive.

By all means, continue to imply that I'm gay, or enjoy watching men simply in tights and no shirts. I know who to come to when I need second grade digs. ;)

Those guys did not have a net below them either! One mistake or mishap...and down they go!!

The only thing better than John Fogerty?

More John Fogerty....lol. I thought having him twice was completely unnecessary. Who dreamed that up? But yeah, he was fine. I'm just disappointed that the NFL feels so scorned by Janet Jackson that they need to skew their halftime shows to veiled T&A and music for the elderly. (no offense, Fogerty is a great songwriter :) ) Then again, there really are no more decent pop performers, I guess.

Well I'll have my tights on anxiously awaiting.

Performing at a club, and at Texas Stadium are totally different things.

Because the venue is larger. Got any more earth shattering revelations for me? ;)

The only thing remotely interesting was the guys on the big cloth ropes, and even that weirded me out once they started holding hands and spinning together. Awful show

Those chiseled hunks made me feel inadequate.

Sorry, but U2's Halftime show during the N.E./St. Louis Superbowl blows anything away I've ever seen. That kicked serious ***. Especially when they had the screen of all the fallen victims of 9/11 with their names on it and kicked in to "Where the Streets Have No Name."

Underwood is a flavor of the day right now-I actually like that Kellie Pickler girl even more, and she's much hotter. I agree, Carrie does dance like a robot.

come on, the show was great!!

JJ showed another reason why he is a great owner the halftime show at Texas Stadium put the others to shame. I was expecting a big circus at halftime of the KC game and couldnt help but laugh at how generic their show was compared to Jerry's. When it comes to the Cowboys he always goes all out. Thanks Jerry.

Come on, Fogerty has about 1,000 more song's than Carrie ever will. She doesn't even have any mainstream hits. I could care less about half-naked men flying in the air, I like good music.

Amen. And I hate U2. But that performance, and them and Green Day in New Orleans blew the karaoke catwalk performance we saw yesterday away.

For one thing REAL Country Music isnt about dancing. It is about singing. This dance BS just came about in the last few years when they starting mixing rock and hip hop into country. There are very few true country artists out now. And no I am not a Hank Sr. fan. I just do not like todays "Country"

My TV was on mute during halftime. Just walking by to glimpse at the TV to see if the 3rd quarter was ready to start was all I needed to see of that......joke.
