This is a list I update each year. Since the amount of Cowboys in the Hall of Fame gets debated a lot I wanted to see how the list would look if you factored out players inducted for work before the Cowboys existed. So I looked at all the inductees. I decided which one team they primarily represent, so a given name is counted once, with a couple of exceptions.
Granted there are some decisions someone else may disagree with. The only real hard decisions for me were Eric Dickerson (let him count twice for LA and Indy), Paul Warfield (counted him as Miami though he had 5 years each with Mia and Clev and 2 bad years back with Clev at the end), Mike Haynes (had to count him twice) and Ken Houston (counted as Houston though he had 1 more year with Washington). And likewise there were just a couple of hard decisions for those who’s careers straddled pre-1960 and post 1960 (like YA Tittle).

I did this about 4 years ago and update it each year.
Dallas remains 4th highest as they did when I began this.
This includes coaches and owners

Pittsburgh - 13
Oakland - 12
Green Bay - 12
Dallas - 11
Miami, Minnesota, Washington, Kansas City - 9
Chicago, Buffalo - 8
San Diego - 7
Colts - 6
SF, Rams, Oilers - 5
Giants, Cards, Browns - 4
Jets, Eagles, Detroit, NE - 3
Denver, Seattle, TB, Cinn - 1
Atlants, Car, NO, Ravens, Jax, Texans - 0

Well, we're about to go up then.
Plenty of Cowboys going into the HOF in the next few years.

Just 2 Allen + Smith. The way I am doing this Haley and Sanders wouldnt be tallied for Dallas. Who else do you think is going in?

Well others dont generally get two tallys really. For the 150+ hall of famers post 1960 there were only 2 that I had such a hard time deciding that I counted twice - Mike Haynes and Dickerson. I just looked at Haley and wow is he close. 6 years SF, then 5 Dallas, then one cheap year back at SF for the end. I dont know. What would you say? There were lots of other close ones where I counted just once like Fred Dean and Gary Zimmerman. Its definitely subjective.

Darren Woodson needs to be voted in too and possibly Jay Novacek. woodson routinely covered the slot receiver in nickle package. Only other SS who did was Rod Woodson late in his career and he was a Cornerback in his prime. Dawkins, Reed, Polamalu cant cover the way Woody covered receivers.

I think Smith, and Allen are locks.

I think Woodson will make it as well.

Agree with the first half, but I don't think Woodson will get in. He was getting snubbed from pro bowls, don't see that changing for the HoF.

There's no chance either ever gets into the HOF.
