Any Defensive coordinator with a brain will put Ngata over Proctor! What can the Cowboys do to negate a pass rush with that matchup?

How about a dump off pass to the right?

Double Ngata from time to time with Gurode.

Cutback lanes to the right! Use them!

Any other ideas!!!?

Thanks Captain Obvious....

Ngata is going to beast that fat slug all day.... He will wake up tomorrow with a sore arse and it will be because he was on it all game long.

Where's that guy Tonya Harding's boyfriend hired to take out Nancy Kerrigan's knee?

This is why this game scares the daylights out of me. :(

We have to limit in line one on one match-ups against Cory Procter, he simply doesn't hold up well.

I expect we will double Ngata as much as possible and continue to pull Proc on screens and traps where he is more effective on the move.

He isn't an anchor, so don't ask him to be.

Bryan Broaddus said yesterday that the AFC scouts he talked to said Ngata was the best player on their defense.

I always think of him when people say for us, "Another first round pick on defense? No way, we've spent enough on that side of the ball already!"

I'm thinking we have to run outside and throw some little dumpoffs to the backs and TEs, right? I don't think we'll be able to run it inside with him in there.

Not so obvious. Ray Lewis complained to the media for years that he wasn't effective because the Ravens wouldn't get him a BIG NT to take up blockers that would allow him to flow to the ball unblocked. The Ravens got Ngata expressly for that purpose. That's why Lewis has had a resurgence in his career. If they fool around and move Ngata over Proctor, they will expose Lewis to Gurode (+300lb), thus nullifying Lewis. Ngata has to stay over center in order to protect Lewis, and they will hope that a stunting Suggs, or blitzing LB, can beat Proctor instead.

Move the pocket.

Make sure Deon Anderson sets up behind Procter.

Bring a TE in motion and snap it when he gets to Procters right hip.

Pray.

If I'm drafting players off the Ravens defense, Ed Reed goes #1 w/o question

It appeared Proctor's guy was the guy who put his knee in Romo's back.

The Cowboys can't allow that stuff to continue to happen. Romo must be allowed to step up. If Proctor's guy is in jail break mode, Romo will be in trouble. Romo can avoid outside guys, but he can't do it when Proctor is holding a red cape.

Having said this, I think Proctor played well against the Steelers, so I have some hope that he will play well enough tonight.

Uh no....

They stopped running variations of the 3-4. That's why. He couldnt shed a block as well as he could flow to the ball.

Also: give Procter some of that Incredible Hulk juice.

Breaking news:

I bet DeMarcus Ware, Jay Ratliff, Anthony Spencer, Greg Ellis, Canty etc etc will attack the Ravens OL's

Are you watching the game? Owens has been in the news, but he hasn't been cut yet.....he's still on the team.

Let Ngata push Procter but run draw plays right behind Davis. Chip Ngata with Cricket if necessary and let Davis punish Lewis.
