Haloti Ngata

Not a great fit and will cost too much.

Signing Ngata would absolutely be the textbook definition of paying age. Paying a name. Paying for what they have done, not what they will do.

It is exactly what we've all been wanting the team to get away from. Now that Dallas is doing it right, does anyone really want them to go backwards and do business like Jerry circa 2000?

I agree with you regarding the fit as he is a 2 gap and not what we need here, I still admire him as a player. He is 32 not 37 and power guys like he, Williams, and Wilfork play long careers provided that they continue to work.

I just remember him harpooning Martin where it spun him and knocked him up and over. Martin is one of the most powerful men in football. That was last August and had me pumped for the season.

He was suspended at the end of the season for adderrall. He is also only 31. He should be good for the next three years. He needs to play for a 3-4 team and his team so far is struggling to stop Houston from running the ball without him. Need to try an earlier game.

I don't know.

He's 31 and of course that's an issue.

More importantly the last couple of years he has seemed to be dinged up and largely ineffective so I'm not sure I'd want to do it.

Maybe if he's willing to come very cheap to be part of a rotation then I'd consider it. But not for a lot of money and not to rely heavily on him.

Like him as a player but a guy in his 30s coming off a PED suspension is probably not a great move, unless they get some crazy deal.

bring in anyone whos not on teh cowboys roster, old, young, bench warmer, injury prone, knuckle head, about to retire, mutiple surguries, does not matter, get them all signed, we will dominate .

Watched him play against the Saints a few weeks before getting suspended. He is still playing at a high level. Was standing and shedding Strief, Grubbs, and Evans doing his typical anchor on the goalline. His bad play was a hit to Brees head. Was central on a couple of stands.

We have a poor man's Ngata in Brent already but there is a right price. If he wants to come for 3 years $15m are you going to say no?

He isn't a Marinelli type 1 tech. I would think Marinelli would prefer using decent money on pass rushers.
