Hammy Issues... Shoe problem?

With all of these hamstring issues that affect us it has to be coming from a few sources:

inadequate training in the weightroom.

inadequate practice regime.

Or... could it possibly be the shoes we wear?

It is beyond coincidence that the NFL has a plethora of hammy issues this year, let alone our squad.

I am curious if we have had the same shoe makers for the past few years? Something has to have changed, whether it is in the weightroom, equipment, or the like.

I cannot understand or wrap my head around pro level athletes all having weaknesses in their hamstrings, which is a MAJOR muscle to have conditioned and built up to play football.

I would understand if these were not pro level athletes, but average joes. Something is fishy around here. Maybe I am just being a theory crafter here, but with all of our injuries coming from the hamstring... leads me to believe maybe our equipment is not up to par somehow?

The hamstring has to be in situations where the muscle is weakened due to angles or the ankles or knee, and the only way I can consistently come up with an explanation is that maybe it is due to the cleats.

Call me crazy, but I need something to think about as we await the victory on sunday morning.

Interesting! Right now, I think they should be looking at anything and everything. This is absurd! This problem alone would be a season wrecker, IMO.

My guess is practice. How often are they in pads hitting and running around with the extra weight; making cuts? If they aren't spending time doing this, they will continue to have these issues.

Listening to the radio earlier, they said the total amount of hamstring issues league wide is on par with historical numbers. Including when players had real jobs in the offseason.

It does suck that we are experiencing so many ourselves, but other than Miles, we haven't had that issue too much previous to this year.

I believe it's just bad luck.

Yeah something isn't up. Nike all of a sudden is sponsoring NFL more than ever and they usually make the best ergonomic cleats. But... it seems awfully coincidental.

Who knows, maybe the trainers don't stress enough stretching.

They should be taking mandatory yoga classes if this hamstring problem keeps it up. Embed it in the contract or something.

Could also be a hydration issue - I remember reading where a trainer referenced that with regard to Miles, where apparently he just can't or doesn't hydrate enough to keep up with his metabolism

Might have more to do with the change in the type of turf teams are using.

Teams have gotten away from the harder turfs and the injury problems they caused, but they haven't overcome the slickness factor and in their efforts to simulate grass fields, they might be getting turfs with too much cushion, too much give.

Yeah could be a turf issue as well. Something isn't right. Maybe the Cowboys training facility is too slick or something who knows. With all of the money Jerry has, it would be worth looking to.

OR we could just track Miles daily habits and that should lead us to the root of the problem.

It must be in the Secret Sauce that is working so well for the team and the Jones family
