I'm really beginning to wonder if this team is being handcuffed too much by Bill Parcells. I have actually wondered this for awhile this year, but we are seeing players such as Keyshawn saying that they should let the players make the plays that they were brought here for....although when asked if he told BP that, he says he's just a player and doesn't know anything.
We have seen what they have done when allowed to play to their strengths.
I understand that the inexperience of our o-line has made BP hesitant to just "let it fly", but at some point, he is going to HAVE to trust Tucker and Petitti....it seemed as though he trusted them a "little" bit more this past weekend as he knew we had to score some points.....but isn't that the point in EVERY game? To score points? He seems too stuck on Time Of Possession.
We have seen articles this week outlining our success in a more aggresive approach.....BP is overly worried about turnovers, but it seems to me that when we are more aggresive, we turn the ball over less. Perhaps this paradigm is a little bit off center or over-blown.
The game plan that we employed against the Chiefs wasn't overly aggresive, but that is more the type of offense that I like to see.....not the continual run on first, run on second, and throw a 3 yard out, and then have to punt.
We have some players that CAN stretch the field...especially now that Crayton is back....
Props to BP for loosening the handcuffs a notch or two last week, but please don't make those handcuffs tighter for this week.
