Cut the top off right at the bell shaped area. Then if you have open bags of food (like say a bag of rice) twist the bag and place it up through the bottle opening. Now fold the plastic bag back down and put the lid back on the plastic bottle.

Your food is air tight and won't spill.

Neat idea. Should look like this when you are done:

Agreed, these are clearly Susie Homemaker ideas that were typically passed down from mother to daughter. Society has changed but they are still homemaker ideas, not handyman.
