I just learned this one, but it is too cool. What to do with empty plastic water bottles?

Cut the top off right at the bell shaped area. Then if you have open bags of food (like say a bag of rice) twist the bag and place it up through the bottle opening. Now fold the plastic bag back down and put the lid back on the plastic bottle.

Your food is air tight and won't spill.

Oh. I never use the built in ice maker, I use water from the Britta in ice trays.

I have a water filter on the fridge, and so it definitely helps.

If you really want good water, get a reverse osmosis tank and T it out to the refrigerator.

Agreed, these are clearly Susie Homemaker ideas that were typically passed down from mother to daughter. Society has changed but they are still homemaker ideas, not handyman.
