It's probably nothing, but isn't at all curious that Hanna caught his first ball of the season when the backup QB was in the game?

Still trying to figure out why a TE with 4.48 speed and decent hands isn't being utilized more.

For the same reasons why Martellus Bennett never caught passes or why Escobar has been MIA for most of his career here. The Cowboys either have zero interest in implementing a 2nd TE or they don't how to do it consistently.

He's not one of "Romo's guys".

Just kidding, sorta. But there might be truth to that. I think Romo finds someone he likes and sticks to them.

Hanna isn't very good. He doesn't block well. This is his best year blocking and he's still a mediocre blocker. He's fast, but he doesn't have body control to catch passes like the pass receiving TE's do. Escobar is slower, but a more effective pass catcher because he understands the mechanics of catching passes. He also blocks better and gets more time on the field because of it.

I don't really believe that. Romo has always spread the ball around. I just don't think the coaching staff emphasizes getting the ball to those guys.

Hope that isn't the case because they will have wasted a pretty talented player in my estimation.

so you want to run less or throw less to dez? there are only so many balls to go around. but romo has used almost every reciever on the roster so maybe he just is'nt getting open when he gets his opportunities

He got open with Weeden. Not suggesting he gets five targets a game but one or two might not hurt and gives defenses something else to think about.

Thought someone here last week posted the stats that Hanna has taken more snaps this year than Escobar. BTW, where the heck was Escobar last night?
