What is your take on happiness? I suppose this is a bit of a philosophical topic but i've always looked at as a moment before you need more happiness. It is a drug of sorts, i've never seen someone or myself been in an eternal state of happiness where I was constantly happy. I would get something, or do something, or achieve something in which I was happy but that quickly fades as I desire to repeat the feat or do something even greater next time.
I think eating ice cream is the perfect example as about two minutes after you're finished eating it all the "happiness" it generated has faded. You may have eaten it because you had a craving, but tomorrow you'll have another craving and having had eaten the ice cream the day prior doesn't lessen that craving.
Is this the ultimate pessimistic point of view? It very well may be, but I do stand by it.
