Yes sir I do. There are too many to list though, you just have to search. I usually will sift through all the bull for an hour and find one song that made it worth it.

I'm 40 + and consider myself a snob when it comes to hip-hop. It takes a lot to truly impress me, but I have a tolerance for the stuff that passes for hip-hop nowadays. I like Drake, and think that Big Sean, J. Cole, and a lot of these new cats have something to offer. But the best hip-hop was the stuff that will never fade. Rakim, EPMD, Ice Cube, Tribe, etc. I don't know if much of this new era will be totally indisposable.

ATCQ, Afu-Ra, Common (Sense), Jurassic 5, Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth, Ice-T, even Will Smith as The Fresh Prince and to an extent even his later stuff as Will Smith.

I'm having a listening party now!

And  at "Eminem being the only real rapper left."

I don't think there is a consistent underground rapper but there are some diamonds in the rough.

Check out these: How big is your world- Median, Watch Me- Little Brother, Insp-HER-ation- The Ranjahz.

PM me if you like those :)

Going to check those out.

Edit: holy moly. Nothing from Da Ranjahz on iTunes, but you just got me to spend $20 on two new albums from Median and Little Brother.

Your welcome. :)

It's always a joy passing around some good underground. I hope you pay it forward.

You have to pay it forward - only way people will discover some actual good music instead of the trash on the radio these days.

I know it's cliche, but Jay Z really is the best. Emminem definately had a run where he was the best out there. Big and Pac could've been if they were still alive, but Jay Z has just been so good for such a long time it's hard to say anyone else unless you are just biased towards old school hip hop.

Well to be fair, he's Canadian :laugh2:

Why in all of these threads is there no love for Lupe? Sure he has a handful of songs with a pop element, but he at least raps with a social conscience. That should count for something.

I personally wouldn't include Jay-Z in this conversation. This topic is only opinion, they can all make a case for greatest.

Lupe's decent Future. He just lacks a real classic song IMO. Talib Kweli raps with a conscious as well, but has a few all timers under his belt.

:laugh2: I feel the exact opposite way.
