Happy Birthday Manster

Hell yeah!!!

The position change thing with him early in his career was interesting, and something I didn't know until semi recently.

IIRC correctly, Landry saw him at MLB at first...which explains the #54.

I'm still in awe of how Landry would draft athletes and figure out a position later in many cases.

White isn't the best example because he was a no brainer high pick (which Dallas acquired by sending Craig Morton to the Giants), but there were several others for sure.

Would love to hear from some of you that weren't kids like myself in the mid 70s about all that.

This was one of Landry's mistakes. White was the top DL in the game, yet outsmarted himself into thinking his size was too small for for DT in the NFL and that his athleticism would allow him to play LB. Wasted 2 years of his career.

Why, thank you. However, my birthday is actually in May.

OOOH!!!!

You mean the REAL MANSTER! Silly mistake.
Happy Birthday Randy White!
