I know the song. Know the reason why it was written. I've learned that it's more of a cultural thing now. We sing it at almost every birthday gathering and it signifies a happy time. It hasn't lost it's political luster, but it has been re-purposed for another occasion.

What's good with ya... you coming in here on some negatives because someone posted a song you don't like to hear but once a year?

Edit: best believe no respect is lost for Mr. King, and I know the words... maybe that's why I put it in here? Ever thought about that?
