Unfortunately there is a raising death toll from the tornado that hit close to my hometown last night. The news coverage of the destruction is simply amazing. So there is a different atmosphere around these parts than most of the country. Not many people are in the mood for much of party. You guys enjoy the fight and food this evening for me.

I'm surfing this board after a long morning of football practice. I don't know what possessed me to go back and play 10 years later but it's a done deal.

I'll then sip on some grey goose and club to commemorate the wonderful occasion and pour out a lil liquor for our hispanic brethren.

Damn, where are you from... I haven't seen any news (not really watched or looked at any to be honest).

I live in Wichita. Fox news or CNN news or any national news is covering the damage big time. The tornado itself wiped out at leat 95% of a city called Greensburg just west of here. There is literally nothing left. Houses, businesses, fire stations, grocery stores, hospitals, anything you can think of........gone. Under the old scale it would have been a f4 or f5 and at one point was over a mile wide. I've been in that town many times and can't believe what I am seeing on TV today. Very sad.

'Town is gone' after tornado

A tornado a mile wide killed at least nine people when it swept through Greensburg, Kansas, officials said today. "My town is gone," City Administrator Steve Hewitt said. "Ninety-five percent of the homes are gone, downtown buildings are gone, my home is gone." A number of people have been rescued from beneath the rubble, and more are expected to be found in coming days.
