Happy:

Romo - Our dimply wonder boy may actually be better than last year. He's on an amazing level.

Lee - Great to see him back out there and he was active and left healthy.

TWill - Big play making with another year of growth gives big D a big 1-2 WR punch.

DMac - Major statement made with explosive runs. Will only make Randle run harder too.

Gachkar - Giving me a gak attack! More than a ST guy he excelled at LB yesterday.

Pass Rush - The sky is the limit with Gregory, DLaw and Co. Game-changer for our team.

Sad:

ST - Enough said. Two weeks to get this straight or it will cost us games.

QB Depth - It's Weeden or bust after Tony and that is frightening.

OScan - Still bummed about this.

Meh:

Dunbar - I guess he showed a little on a kick return but not much as a backup RB.

4th/5th WR - Don't know what we have here, hopefully won't be needed much.

Escobar - Another drop he has had a few this preseason. Maybe real games he will flash.

Overall a lot more to be optimistic about than not.

I would see what I could get for Dunbar in a trade. If nothing I would cut him and keep Gus as the 3rd back. He seems like a different runner than than the other two and would bring a little power to the run game. Maybe Houston would trade Mallett straight up for Dunbar ha ha.

Happy: agree with all yours. Good stuff.

Sad:

ST - at least the unit isn't the final one.

QB - yes. Lol.

Meh: Escobar has issues catching in traffic...hopefully those drills with cold water and mesh bags over their heads help.

Gachkar looked like a poor man's Sean Lee out there.

Gachkar looks like a pretty good pickup. I knew he was a good special teams guy and he looks pretty good at linebacker. He's been better than Brinkley

I don't think they are going to tip their hand as to how they are going to effectively use Dunbar in the regular season in preseason games. Therefore, I wouldn't give up on him just yet. They just have to actually use him in the regular season and stop just talking about it.

I believe we sign Dunbar to a tender. If I'm not mistaken its fully guaranteed.

They have been saying that since he has been here and still don't give him many chances. But my point was that Dunbar doesn't bring anything different than the other two backs. He is not as fluid as Randle and McFadden is just as if not faster than him with better hands and blocking ability. If we are going to use a committee approach then I think they need to have some differnces and a little more power in the run game would be nice. I would keep Gus over Dunbar as he has a little more power. Whether it's Gus or Dunbar or someone else we are talking 5 to 8 touches a game I would guess.

Gachkar looked horrendous against the 49ers. So, he's inconsistent I suppose. Hope we don't get in a situation where we need to depend on him.

You REALLY want Mallett?

I don't think Mallett is the next great QB. Not at all. However compared to what we currently have he is 20 times better. I think he would be a very good back up. We don't have a decent back up now. So given our current state of back ups, yes I would do what I could to go get someone that at gives us at least a 20 % chance of winning a game of Romo gets hurt.

Happy:
Romo completely healthy going into the season
DMac showing great burst and cutting.
Defensive front seven could be top 5. Depth and talent across the board.

Sad:
OScan for sure. I think this was going to be a statement season for him.
ST coverage units continue to haunt this team. It goes back to last pre-season. I don't know the cure, but it can't continue.
Vaughn. I think this was his last chance to show progress.

Meh:
No major injuries other than OScan, but lots of lingering hammy and other muscle tissue issues. Those have a way of sticking around through the season.
DB's didn't really stand out to me. I know it's largely a by product of the system, but I expected more aggressiveness this season. Could change in reg season tho...
I missed the first two possessions yesterday and got in an argument with my g/f on the way home from a movie because I was pissy about it and she was driving Mrs Daisey out there...
