I have had a pro football player who was on Hard Knocks tell me the exact opposite.
Yeah, maybe that was his experience, but I haven't seen how those distractions have translated to poor performance for any of the participating teams.

2 minutes of screen time for Goff convinced me he has the mental acuity of a moose fart. I can't imagine him becoming a franchise QB and leader, have there been any border line "developmentally challenged" QBs succeed before?

Eli I suppose.

It's easy for them to create a narrative here.

I can't wait to see the episode when they play us..

Jeff Fisher is the biggest pos in football. His team's are undisciplined and dirty. Just look at their coaching staff and how they go about business. Just a bunch of nut bags.

Saw episode 2, it reminded me of the seaworld episode with Campo. Complete clown show. They actually spent 5 minutes on mermaids & dinosaurs. They showed very little of Cowboys highlights. Lucky's kickoff was shown from the view of the blimp, looked like ants running around. Showed the interception and Dez's TD.

They didn't show us at all.. good job Hard Knocks. Their starters get beat down and we get the end game heroics of the rookies? Ok whatever makes them sleep better at night.

Playing in the NFL is one big distraction. I don't understand why 1 more camera crew would be even more distracting. They are everywhere anyways.

He throws a damn good ball though, QB savant
The luck of Opie Gump bka Eli only comes around once in a generation. He would be a good QB only if throwing the ball was the only thing, looking at you Jeff George.

I have been pretty bored with the show to be honest. Maybe it is high expectations from past seasons, but it just seems like it is the same old, same old now. They need to find a way to mix some things up.

I haven't been impressed with Fisher at all. It is difficult to make impressions because it is easy to make a show for the camera and ultimately looking good for the camera is not a coaches job. Although, I get no passion from watching him. It is almost like he is going through the motions. I was frankly surprised they did not can him after last year and get a fresh start with their move to LA. Now there is talk he is going to be extended. With all the high draft picks they have had, their roster (outside of the D-line) appears pretty average. They certainly look like a 6-10 to 8-8 team to me.

I wish the nfl would take control of it and make it for hard core fans. The silly stuff is boring. I'm sure they are trying to gain women fans by it, but it doesn't work imo.

I have watched all episodes this season. Good for LA for getting football again. Too bad it came at the expense of St. Louis.

Jared Goff, who I just heard was named 3rd string may take awhile to develop, if at all. He needs to put on weight and seems laid back. There was one part of episode 4 where he was in a room reviewing notes and was playing with his phone instead. Chris Weinke, their QB coach walked in, and Goff put phone down quickly and went to his notebook. It's as if he was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He is just a boy.
