Hardest part is waiting 8-9 months again

I just wish they would do something to make a new season be exciting.

Cowboys football is boring right now. Needs more flair.
Cowboys football needs deep playoff runs... for two or three consecutive seasons.

This season was such an abomination/disappointment, it couldn't end soon enough for me! I look forward to focusing on the draft and free agency. Let's not get fooled by the big 3 game win streak..they won 6 games vs teams with a combined 31-65 record and lost the other 10 games...

The challenging part IMO, is this year sucked so bad with the fake off season and injuries, that it's hard to know how much of the suckage is due to those factors and how much is due to a bad coaching staff. I think we'll have a better handle after next season. Hopefully its not such a train wreck!
If the Cowboys were coming off a playoff run with a last minute loss, I could see some fans being antsy to begin the next season in anticipation of the team advancing further and winning it all. But coming off 6 -10... I don't feel compelled to mark Xs through every calender day until the season opening game in early September.

....how things will play out, who is gone, who got extended, who they drafted..etc.

This season left a bad taste everywhere. Surely, didnt end right.
I need a break from this football season so I'm glad it's over. I'm not watching the playoffs, I have no interest. My interest is FA and the draft.

This is one of the very few times in 50 years I can remember not having much optimism for "next year's" Cowboys. Jerry has worn me down with his endless reign of mediocrity and inability to deliver a serious contender. Glad the season is over. Have no desire to start this &$#@-show back up any time soon.

.....I have some interest in watching what happens with Brady and the bucs. Crazy how Brady is 43 and helped get them into playoffs. I swear the guy is rigged for winning.

Im looking forward to the offseason. 10th pick in the draft is nothing be upset about. Highest pick since the Zeke debacle? And we should see some big time turnover on defense finally. MM and Nolan can take a REAL offseason and gear the personnel and scheme properly for the way they like it. Dak should sign long term which will give us more flexibility in what we can do with FA. Another year closer to Zeke getting dumped.

Ironically, next year should be the year of the greatest hope. With Garrett gone and the first year of a new regime in the books, its usually the 2nd year where things begin to come together. It will be like getting 3 or 4 pro bowlers with all the injury returns and then a top 10 pick for good measure. The incredible draft from last year will start to really blossom in their 2nd season.
Dak, Collins, Smith, Martin, Jarwin on offense alone. Biadasz, Mcgovern, Shultz all getting valuable experience and looking good doing it. This offense should be even more unstoppable then it was before Dak went down.

They won 3 or 4 more games with Brady over Winston. I know some fools think a few games difference in QB's is no big deal buts the difference playoffs or not. First round buys or wild card games.
