Let's face it , we are VERY young at a lot of positions. But here is my question. Are our coaches just being hard headed, or are they taking an "it's not hurting us yet" approach with players like Taco, Jalen, or LC. These guys are not helping do anything but filling a position on the field. You can't argue that they would be playing if we had better options. With that being said, if they continue to learn and get valuable experience, they could good in a couple years. Well, Jaylon and Lael could be. Taco will NEVER live up to a first round pick. He's just not good and doesn't show much upside. Are the coaches continuing to play these guys because of the experience hopes, or are they playing them to justify their ideas?

Jaylon is playing because Hitchens is hurt.

Taco is playing spot duty to get him acclimated to NFL game.

I agree La'El should be at LG but we aren't in practice to know why they love Chaz Green at LG and La'El at RT.

I'm not sure we can make a determination on Taco based on 3 games. To say he is never going to live up to a first round pick is very premature. I think it's fair to say that Taco might not live up to a first round pick this year. I always thought DLaw was a waste of a 2nd rounder until this year and now he's very productive. so time will tell with Taco. As far as LC, yeah he needs help. I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss Doug Free. And Jaylon, I hope he sits a little bit when Hitchens gets back. He doesn't look healthy. But it's still early. so we'll see

I stopped reading at the word "never."

It's hard to take analysis seriously when one dismisses the opportunity for improvement.

"Its been three games and our #1 pick hasn't done anything!!!".

If Twitter was around in the 1950, this would be the most common tweet in history.

Believe me I'm the one always preaching the be patient , it's only X number of games or years. But this guy will be an exception to my "be patient rule", he's not gonna live up to 1st round material. Unless a miracle happens, you can just tell.

I agree. After all, he's been a Cowboy for 5 months now how come he doesn't have at least a dozen sacks by now???

Somewhere Randy White and all the past first round picks who didn't immediately live up to their first round pick status are shaking his head over your post.

I guess we could stop drafting and start buying players. Then we wouldn't have to have the patients for a player to develope

How do you know
He may or may not develope into a player and we have no way of knowing
I didn't like the pick. I felt like we took need over talent. But that doesn't mean I know he can't play. Many said the same things about tank when he was drafted

Of the draft choice DL on our roster - DLaw, Collins, Crawford, and Tapper, which could you get the right evaluation on after three games?

How about Mayowa and David Irving, who were both practice squad players their first year?

I just don't see it, Taco has shown the skill set but needs the time to develop like everyone else.

Stop with the hit pieces. You don't know what any player will or will not do. Jaylon is not holding us back he is one of the leading tacklers on the team and yes is still developing. Taco again you don't know what he will or will not do. Why the hell start up lame post like this. To sound superior and somehow have an inside view. Coaches are not hard headed same can't be said for some fans.

Nahh, just go with the 0-11 set with eleven defensive backs ten yards off the line of scrimmage.

Actually, I think if Twitter was around in 1950 it would be gone by 1951.

Lets face it. Paragraphs are a good thing. Run-on sentences are not. Yes, I am being the grammar police.

3 games in and this. Call at game 8 and this continues to happen.

Coaches need to break in players to speed of game.

DEs need snaps. Expecting a first year DE to produce is silly. He's Taco and the guys ahead of him.

Few first year DEs tear it up out of the gate.

Myles Garrett - 0 snaps
Solomon Thomas - 7 tackles. 0 sacks
Derek Barnett - 3 tackles, 0 sacks
Jonathan Allen - 7 tackles, 1 sack
Charles Harris - 2 tackles, 0 sacks
Tak McKinnely - 4 tackles, 1 sack
Taco - 2 tackles, 0 sacks

Should all these guys sit? Should all these teams be criticized for passing on an OLB who has a couple sacks and a pick?
