This is really sad to hear, I hope he recovers quickly.

I never met him, but I did get a chance to see him in person. I guess early in his career, he played for a minor league team based in San Angelo, TX (where I am from). Well back in 2000 the San Angelo Colts reformed and he was the emcee for a lot of the ceremonies. He participated in everything they had over the few days, he even threw out the first pitch of the inaugural game. The best thing about it was, he didn't seem like a celebrity who would just come in and leave as soon as he was done. He watch the game and said hi to any fan who would come up to him.

Though I never met him, I knew Harmon Killebrew was a class act.
