Plenty of other teams have won a wild card game at home, then won two on the road to reach the Super Bowl.

Usually the teams that have the best chance are the ones that go roaring into the playoffs, not sneaking in through back doors.

Raiders did it in 1980, @ Houston @ Clev @ San Diego. They beat Philly in the SB that year. I believe they were under dogs in every one of the games. They were a veteran team. I hope our young guys are not hitting a wall.

Plenty? I'm not doubting that there has been a decent number, but isn't the percentage rather low?

Personally, I don't view a wild card round game on the road as any more significant than just missing the playoffs. I the odds of "one & done" are "plenty".

Actually, the 1980 Oakland Raiders were the 4 seed (at the time there were only 5 seeds in each conference). They beat Houston at Oakland. Houston was the 5 seed. The 1985 Pats were the 5 seed and won all their games on the road. No six seed has ever made it to the Super Bowl.

It was about 10 days late but she passed. Pushups & situps were her Nemesis.
