Has anybody discussed the kicking?

How "suisham" is it to see the kickoffs going into the endzone? What has it been.... 3, 4, 10 years since we've had someone consistently put it in the end zone? I like that boy. But when he missed that chip shot before the half:eek: , I was like why, why , why do we have so many problems with our kicking game?

All over the league guys are nailing 50-footers with room to spare. Why am I holding my breath on every field goal over 25 yards? Mind boggling.

It is hard to get the ball up high enough from 50 feet. I carry a lob wedge for that shot. Still have to open the face and keep the shaft leaning forward. Especially when there is a tree is the way.

This bothers me more then anything else by far!

Last year we had a chance to win three more games with a better FG kicker...here we are again with issues.

Dang I wish we somehow could've gotten Rackers!!! :bang2:

If we keep playing like we have in the preseason, we shouldn't have to rely on field goals to win games this year.

Good lord, step away from the ledge. Ever hear of Mike Vanderjagt?? Much better kicker than your one year wonder Rackers.

We have gone against two of the worst teams and defenses in the NFL. I'm really excited don't get me wrong, but game day against the Jags will be a more difficult task then the lowly Saints and Whiners.

Trust me there will be several games this year that 6 to 9 points by FG's will determine the win or loss.

I understand your point, but relying on FGs to win games is not a team that I'm expecting to go far. But I do want to be able to rely on my kicker when his number is called. This hit or miss area of our team has gone on fAr too long.

Sushi is getting the ball into the endzone, but he is also not getting the ball that high. The 49ers were able to return the ball to the 20 because of the little hang time.

I didn't like how Dallas handled the end of the first half. They need to take advantage of those situations and work on their 2 minute drills. They wasted a lot of time that could have made it an easier attempt. It was still a makable kick, but I like to the get ball closer when they can.
