Has anybody heard of this scenario??

I've heard more than once that the Eaglets would just as soon cash in the season and play reserves against the Commanders, just so the Cowboys will have to sit out the playoffs, which would ultimately allow the Commanders to walk on in. This, of course, is a defeatist attitude and really wont matter to the Eagles either way since they are out altogether, but I've heard this scenario more than once...

Also, I've heard that the president of the Eagles was so peeved at the Cowboys for the earlier comments by Jerry... about TO being able to sleep on the star if he were a Cowboy, which was really stirred up mainly by the supermedia, that they would rather play and lose and keep Dallas out of the post season, then win and help out the Cowboys cause.

Plus, the Eagles have some hard personnel decisions to decide on concerning some of their veteran players... RT Jon Runyan in particular, and they wont be getting anything for TO since he will be an UFA at the end of the season, and will be able to sign with anyone who ponies up the greenbacks.

This is really a hard rumor and I haven't seen it posted anywhere on the net, but people have talked this up pretty hard around here.

The Eagles organization is a bunch of losers in a city where the average sportsfan acts like they expect a loser. Philadelphia the city needs an economic revival so it's sportsfans won't be so anxious to spit on their own teams to make themselves feel better.

What kind of self-respecting athletes would throw a game to stick it to another team? I could care less what happens and if this is Philly's attitude I hope Joe Gibbs' team blasts them 45-0!

The Eagles are 0-5 in the division.

They will not ly down.

Nothing will make them happier than to finally win one and knock a division rival out (Washington) of the playoffs with their backup youngsters and go into next season on that note.

Calm down everyone.
I'm telling you this gonna be a game and the Eagles give us our best shot at making the playoffs.
