I went last time they were here in '03.
It's basically a couple of bands and then Brad Sham introduced the players to the crowd.
Fans can walk around on the practice field, down some cold ones, and buy Cowboys' stuff.

Yep. I was there for Parcell's first year. Kind of boring in my opinion (and my sons as well). Everything close is set up for corporate sponsers. From the stand you can't even tell who is who without binoculars. They have some bands and count on being partially deaf when you leave.

My 2 cents is skip that and hit the River Walk. Drink some cold beer, watch the tourists flow by and look for Cowboys players (they will be out there).

That said, great place for a camp. The alamo dome is nice, great AC and you are really close to the players. Practice is a blast. Bring some binoculars, as they do help when your trying to watch different groups practice in different areas of the field. I was there for Romo's Rookie year and he threw a real nice ball. He was also by far the most adept at throwing a nice ball while he was moving around. The other QB's there were Quincy, Hutch and Stoener. I never saw a quarterback who had such a canon (Hutch) who couldn't hit the side of the barn door. He was god awful as far as accuracy went, but he sure had a canon. The most accurate was Romo and Stoener, but Stoener had no zip on the ball. Almost like watching Brad Johnson play.

PS> Find a local dive and have some breakfast Taco's. Once you have those you are hooked.

Shiner Bock on draft is the way to go. Far as autographs go, Players will stop and sign as they leave practice. My son even got one of Roy Williams sweatbands. Make sure you have a sharpie (more then one). Sometimes the players end up signing lots of folks items and the pen get lost in the mix. Red looks good as well as black on most things. Dallas Cowboys license plates are easy for them to sign as well as the mini-helmuts etc. Full size helmets are great also, but they are large to lug around during the course of a day.
