Didn't Hardy also rotate into the interior of the DL for Carolina numerous times?

I haven't seen many posts on this board considering the though of having a DL run out there that looks like this..

Gregory-Hardy-Crawford- DLaw

Thoughts? I think Hardy gets signed longterm anyways and we could easily see variations like this in the future.

On third down passing situations? Yes. That was my first thought.

I mentioned the same thing in chat about our new DL lineup. The Cowboys made it clear improving the pass rush was the top priority this off season. Mission accompllished.

We need a run stuffing DT for most downs, but yea, I wouldn't be surprised to see that on passing downs.

Hardy, Mincey, and even Crawford all can rotate inside and outside.
Imagine the stunts they can produce.

If Lawrence develops and Gregory has a big rookie year, I don't think there's any chance Hardy re-signs here.

Yes, it's widely known and often stated that Hardy will often move inside in the nickel.

Why would the Cowboys pay huge money long term to Hardy if they have two other really good edge rushers on the roster?

If DLaw ends up just being average then we could of had Hardy at a long term deal. I don't think 2 rookies on 4 years down the road impacts a deal Hardy would/will get here.

Mincey is the guy I think we'll see on the interior more often.

From an August 2014 ESPN article:

“He’s got some real quickness inside as a rusher,” Marinelli said. “He’s got quickness, maybe not long speed. And real smart.”

The 6-foot-4, 280-pound Mincey has played end and tackle throughout his eight-year career. Many of Mincey’s 20 sacks, with a high of eight in 2011, have come as an interior rusher.

“I’ve always been a good inside rusher,” Mincey said. “That’s what’s kept me around the league for a while.

Marinelli will bring his best 4 passrushers during passing situations. I believe he is majorly pissed that they had a league low 28 sacks last year. 2015 will be a year where we can put constant pressure on the QB IMO. If not Marinelli will bring down the wrath of God upon this defense.

I've posted several times this off-season that the Cowboys should draft DEs over DTs. Once of my reasons was that if needed Hardy and Mincey can play DT, which makes that position even deeper.
